From WDW Magic... http://Plaza Ice Cream Parlor closing for a near three month refurbishment Dec 19, 2011 The Plaza Ice Cream Parlor at the Magic Kingdom is scheduled to be closing from 4th January to 27 March 2012 for refurbishment. The nearly three month timeframe would suggest an extensive amount of work, although currently no specific details are available. -

Of particular note is that they've officially added Trails End Takeaway to the Counter Service Credit list. From the Touring Plans public site (subscribers and those with the app get more detailed info). TP's predictions are generally pretty accurate. We use their app all the time and their wait times are often even more accurate than those posted at the attractions. For those traveling during the busy times, keep in mind that park capacity closures are common Christmas-New Years week.
