From the Disney Parks Blog...

Have you tried the Wild Africa Trek at Disney’s Animal Kingdom yet?

In case you aren’t familiar, the Trek is a three-hour guided tour that offers guests up-close views of some of the park’s animals by foot, by safari vehicle, and by rope bridge. Animals you may see on the tour include giraffes, crocodiles, hippos and many more. (In my opinion, the hippos are the best part!).

You can now get $50 off the price of your experience when you book a Wild Africa Trek for 11:45 a.m., 12:30 p.m., 1:15 p.m., 2:30 p.m. or 3:15 p.m., now through October 26, 2013. To book, call 407-WDW-TOUR.

Sorry, but this is still way overpriced.  Regular price is $189, so with $50 off, it's $139.  For a three hour tour through the safari?  What are you going to see that you can't see from the ride or walking trails?  Not $139 worth of stuff.

Plus the discounts are for the hottest part of the day.  Which is when the animals will be the least active, and the guests will be the most sweaty.

Pass.
