As Downtown Disney continues to transform into Disney Springs, significant progress is being made on roadway and infrastructure work along Buena Vista Drive. During April, crews will continue to extend the overpass bridge from I-4 to Downtown Disney and do additional work on the new pedestrian bridge that was recently installed. To accommodate this major work, Buena Vista Drive will be temporarily closed during early morning hours on the select dates.

April 10, 1:00am - 7:00am – The first pedestrian bridge was recently installed to extend from the Downtown Disney Cast Services building/Team Disney area across to Downtown Disney. Now, additional work must take place that will require road closures.

April 13-16, 1:00am - 7:00am – Foundation work on the overpass bridge that will connect to the I-4 slip ramp will also require road closures.

During these times, we advise drivers to use alternate routes. Detours will redirect vehicles through this area, while pedestrians will be allowed to use the crosswalks.

Here you are a map showing the area that will be affected by this work as well as alternate routes:

Additional overnight road closures and lane shifts will take place in the future, so be sure to check roadway signage and communication if you travel on Buena Vista Drive regularly.
