New D-Zone relaxation area coming to Epcot next week 7 hours ago in "Epcot"

The Innoventions West corridor near to Character Spot in Epcot's Future World will soon be home to a new relaxation area.

 

Known as a D-Zone, expect to see seating, electronic device charging stations, and a couple of food and drink carts starting early next week.

 

The corridor has always been popular with guests to cool-off, but lack of seating has left people sitting on the floor.

 

The D-Zone relation area concept began at Magic Kingdom with the introduction of the Fantasyland Tangled restroom area, and the big top area in Storybook Circus. The idea is for for people to have a space to cool down, charge the all-important devices, and to take a break from some of the hustle and bustle of the park.

Dang it!

I use to go in that area just to cool off and get away from the crowds. As it was usually pretty empty.

I'll probably need a FP+ just to get in the door now.

New Walt Disney World “lounges” at Hollywood Studios & Epcot

 

 

 

 

Walk through two new “lounges” set up to keep people cool in the summer at Disney’s Hollywood Studios and Epcot.

 

At Hollywood Studios the previous location for the “The Legend of Captain Jack Sparrow” experience is now home to a relaxing, air conditioned lounge spot.

 

 

 

At Epcot the new lounge area is located at Innoventions right next to the Character Spot meet and greet.
