This week the latest batch of new buses were seen running around WDW.

It's the second batch of 40 new buses within the last year.

These buses have numbers starting at 5071 followed by 12, the year put into service.

Will they retire more of the old buses or just make the fleet larger. If they don't retire any buses, the fleet will be well over 300.

On another topic, no word yet on what they plan to do about AoA bus stops at the parks, DTD, and the water parks.

It should be interesting as some of the locations don't have spare bus stops and will have to share.

Would be nice if they took the old style handicapped-lift busses out of service. Those things are a nightmare to use and look like a real PITA for drivers too...

Disney is way ahead of you Pam. They've already retired most of those buses with the lift.. There are only 30 plus of those buses left in the fleet. They should be all gone by the end of the year.

They're a PITA, but not because of the lift. It's because of how close the back end has to be to the curb. The lift won't work if it's more than 16 inches away. Sounds like a lot, but at some resorts due to the approach angle, it's a challenge.

The reason that they have to be gone is that they don't meet the emission standards for bus fleets.
