From Beers and Ears...

Tecate

Five beers are served in the Mexico pavilion, and we’ve reviewed four of them. Tecate is the fifth, and it’s another beer brewed by Cuauhtémoc Moctezuma Brewery. Apparently the Mexico pavilion doesn’t feel the need to branch out to other Mexican breweries such as Grupo Modelo or something even more exotic.

Tecate pours a very Bud Light-ish yellow color (yeah I said it) with a thin, white, quickly dissipating head. Smells like corn; have you figured out where this is going yet? Tastes like metallic corn (what a surprise). Highly carbonated and very thin. Coors would probably recommend you drink this super duper freakin’ ice cold if they brewed this beer and have the mountains on the label turn blue, so I guess we can be thankful Cuauhtémoc Moctezuma tries to keep it a little classy. But let’s face it, this is clearly on the same level as Bud Light, Coors Light, etc.

In short, Tecate sucks.

If you need to get a beer from the Mexico pavilion, do yourself a favor and get a Bohemia.
