Multiple sites close to each other
Jbolen2 replied to Jbolen2's topic in General Camping Discussion and Questions
I did a search but didn’t use the right words I guess. Our sites are under my name and the other in my uncles. Can you still actually call the forts front desk? Seems like last year it sent me to the main phone center. We both have preferred sites with pets traveling with us. I can tell them my rv size also I assume? I changed to a 44’ rv with more slides from when I booked them last year -
Did the one you bought attach in place like the original?

It is a standard foam one that I've seen in several units over the years. You know the kind you feel the springs in your back all night .
-
I can look in to them for replacements. Hopefully someone can chime in that have other replacements.

What is everyone using for couch bed upgrades? The one in our unit is tired and needs replaced. The couch itself is still in great shape just the bed portion. I have heard from different friends that there are air mattress type ones that are a nice upgrade.

WiFi coming to the Fort ...someday?
Jbolen2 replied to BradyBzLyn...Mo's topic in General Camping Discussion and Questions
We were just there the 26-2nd on the 100 loop in site 102. I noticed there was a locked wifi access point named chip and dale. Not sure if this belonged to Disney or a individual camper. -
Golf Cart to Wilderness Lodge
Jbolen2 replied to mastergracey's topic in General Camping Discussion and Questions
We were just on the 100 loop from the 26-2nd and did notice several faster gas powered karts(we didn't know they were allowed) as one passed us on our electric kart on evening. we also noticed the golf karts have gotten more and more reckless over the last 10 years. I can remember coming in the late 90s and it seems like there was only about 20 karts parked at the old spot by the settlement bus stop. Now there is so many parked at the new spot by pioneer hall it's crazy. -
Glad to see its finally going to all work with bands, seemed like someone in the group always ended up with all the kttw cards.

Trailer behind motorhome
Jbolen2 replied to Jbolen2's topic in General Camping Discussion and Questions
When you say blade of grass does that mean the gravel area behind our site of beyond that into the grassy area? We are going to be on the 1-200 loop. Are there any sites I should request this Thursday when we arrive that would work best with this or should I call on ahead? Our rig is pretty long with the trailer, probably 48-50ft long. -
We have a 16ft trailer pack our golf cart, bikes and other misc stuff in for our trip. In our past trips with a longer rv we always left it in the overflow lot but are using a shorter rig this time. Would it be allowed to leave it hooked up and back them both in our site? I wouldn't be forced to unload suit cases, bikes and other items out like if I sent the trailer to the lot.

using AAA package at campground

Looks like buying tickets from under cover tourist is a light discount and doing our food at out discretion is the best route. -
using AAA package at campground

dining plan set to the side will there be any savings on our 5 day park hopper? We have 5 people in our group -
We have reservations for ft wilderness in nov for the 20-25th in a prefered loop. We originally were going to just pay for 5 day park hoppers when we got there and do our own food but have spoke about seeing if we could save anything booking all 3 with AAA. After speaking to a agent she said we would have to transfer our site to them since it is booked solid for those dates. My question to fellow members here is basically will we gain anything bundling it this way of your past experience? Ive done the meal plan several times when staying in a room but never have used it when staying at the cam

Thanks for all the input yall. At worst if I was made to move it I could still park it in the overflow like I have parked my golf cart trailer before? Any tips or advice on a certain Disney operator to talk to so I get put in a longer site? I have had to back in some tight spots pulling the 44' race trailer so hopefully I can manage the smaller trailer.

thanks for the help on the picture. The truck with the camper attached to it is 53ft long. Are there a good number of sites this length or longer? I downloaded the site app and notice most premium loops seem to be long enough. Its good to hear other setups like this pulling a camper have been sighted there. I was afraid they might view it as 2 rvs even though that is mainly a big truck with rv components to make it not require cdl to drive. Who would ultimatley make this decision at the campground as to it being able to stay or not? Could i get this answer before i arrived?

4 of us will be visiting in November with a 24ft pull camper. Looking to see if they would make me remove my tow rig or if it would be okay to stay at the site. Reason I ask is it can be viewed as a camper itself, but we just use it to pull the camper or race car trailer. I attached a picture of the tow rig.
