  1. Oh my, I was there for a week and I am just now starting to get hungry again. Time moves sooo slowly when I am hungry and drooling over these pictures...
  2. We rented a canoe at Salt Spring about 90 miles north in Feb 2010 and this fella swam up along side with his buddies to check things out. Afterwards we asked a ranger near the launch about the group. The winter had been extremely cold so the group stayed near the fresh spring about a month longer than usual. One of the group had a bouy attached. Seaworld had come and taken her away a month earlier and nursed her back from a boat collision. It was a shame to see all 9 had injuries on their back from propellers.
  3. We attended our first Food & Wine fest this October and it was great. We will be back at WDW in January and wondered if there were any Food related tours or classes offered at different resorts or in the parks.
  4. YAHOO !!! :jumpforjoy :jumpforjoy :jumpforjoy I was finally able to add my extras days at The Fort, now I can cancel the reservations at the KOA and spend all 10 fun, food and wine filled days at WDW !!! :wine:
  5. Haaa, I wish I was a full-timers... We have 2 activities, workin' and RV'ing !!! Fortunately we can work lots of days in a row and get lots of days in a row off... I don't mind driving and Michelle can drive the bus on the hiway too, so we can travel farther away from home when we go... It makes the trip to the Fort much easier, leave work Friday night and hit the road. She can nap until AM and drive in the morning, I finish up and we are backed in grilling dinner Saturday night checking the movie schedule. :mh1:
  6. This was at Campfire Lodgings. This site was one of our top 2 for just siting and enjoying a view. They have 6 or 7 sites with this view. The campground itself is rather basic in the activities available so I would not recommend it for a family getaway. I would recommend the area though, there was lots to do. We spent 8 days and I could have come home to that view for ever... What a site to watch thunderstorms roll through the valley.
  7. Nice place, though when we were there in Jan of 2010 we froze to the ground and needed boiling water to free the jacks.
  8. View from mountain top in Asheville NC
  9. I thought Democrats did not like people wasting money on frivolous vacations
  10. I am planning to purchase an annual pass for the first time but was waiting until we arrive in October to purchase them. I am planning to reserve some of the activities at the F&W Fest at EPCOT now but heard that there may be some discounts available to pass holders. I am directed to a site that only pass holders can log into. If it makes sense I would buy the passes early, but if not would like to hold onto my money until October. Is there a list available for these special discounts ? Thanks
