  1. After our trip in December I would say the most dangerous "ride" for older people are the queues to get on the tram or the ferry leaving MK. My Mama is 4'10 and 76 years of age, she was almost trampled in the line. It was unreal. I am very careful with her anywhere we go. She actually said this to me at one point because I hold her hand all the time, "people are gonna think I'm 'like that'" I almost :rofl2: I told her if I was gay that I hoped I could find a sexier partner than her! I still hold her hand!!
  2. I'm with y'all on the Carousel of Progress!! Not really a ride, but I absolutely LOVE Mickey's Phillharmagic! Feels like a ride, but has that fabulous disney music!
  3. I am embarassed to say that I have never been to St Augustine and I live in Florida. That said, we often talk amongst my family about other destinations, but we always end up with Disney! It just suits all of us, my Mom and I like to relax and take in the scenary, my brother is a Super Commando and likes to ride every ride, my son is somewhere in between. We all like to eat! The Fort is perfect for all of us. There is plenty to do, but it is also the perfect place to relax and let the kids have fun! I hope whatever you decide, that y'all have a great time!
  4. I forgot to include the great news we got when we got back home...an AP PIN code!!! :raspberry: I called my brother and we have 3 trips booked to go back!! May for EE challenge/Mother's Day, Sept/Oct for Food and Wine and our first ever Christmas at Disney! We can't wait to spend Christmas at the Fort! My best friend has already told me that we could use her golf cart anytime we wanted, so it will be as close to perfect as it can get!! :raspberry: She has a TT and I am trying to help her plan a trip down with her family. We have vacationed together in the past and had a blast!
  5. I'm gonna make this short and sweet, the trip definitely was! We have stayed at many of the resorts at WDWm but we had never stayed at the Cabins. We've talked about it, but came up with many reasons why we didn't think we should; transportation issues, lack of CS places, etc. Well, this was gonna be a short trip down for the Marathon weekend for my brother to do the 5k, so we decided what the heck...let's try it! I am so glad we did! It was AWESOME! So peaceful! We are a bunch of rowdy old folks for the most part and on this trip the group was, my brother, my mother, my good friend and myself
  6. I'm loving the trip report! We are going to spend our first Christmas at the Fort this year and this is making me wish for time to fly!! December was freezing this year here in Florida. Can't wait to hear more!
  7. We have definitely taken some "food" vacations at the World! After our December trip of a week of Deluxe Dining, I didn't even want to think about food for at least a day or two! That trip alone included: V&A, Cali Grill, Artist Pt, HBD, Yachtsman's, Crystal Palace, Tony's, Tusker House, Yak and Yeti, Capt's Grill, Olivia's, Fulton's, WGP Cafe, Sunshine Seasons and Pepper market. I believe we have done all the signatures, except Flying Fish, Citroco's and Jiko's. I think we have eaten at most of the other TS restaurants, except for Kouzina and some of the Epcot WS ones. We have not been to
  8. WDW policy allows smoking ONLY in Designated Smoking Areas. I know that I try very hard to be a considerate smoker and sometimes the DSA's are difficult to find. They are shown on the park maps, but prone to change without warning. I know where most of them are currently located, so if anyone has any questions about how to find/avoid the DSA's, I will be glad to answer any questions!
