We tent camped, and although we didn't bring too much food with us, what we did bring we put in plastic bins with lids and then kept them in the van when we were in the parks. We took WDW transportation almost exclusively so the inside of the van became a big storage unit by the end of the trip. We left the cooler outside either on or under the table and had no problems. Now, our neighbors did have a squirrel invade their screen room and stole a Hershey bar out of a bag of goodies they had stashed. So beware.....

When is her trip?
My DD16 is doing a very similar trip June 27-July 8.
Rome, Florence, Cote d'Azur, Provence, and Barcelona.
It's with a group called Explorica. They do all kinds of student trips.
And yes, it costs a pretty penny.
Not only that, she's going to Disney with the marching band in April!
Unfortunately we won't be joining her on either trip.

Can't wait!
I think it might be bits and pieces from previous shows, from the description.
In any case, who cares, it's a show about WDW, maybe they'll show something from the Fort. :D

We didn't vacuum our tent site for a couple of reasons.
1. We never put out our rug.
2. It didn't rain. I would think that would make a difference.
3. We didn't have any kids with us. Now THAT would make ALOT of difference. :flush2:
We did take a piece of indoor/outdoor carpet to put down in front of the tent door, but like I said, never got it out of the car. Our tent had a porch type vestibule that had roof and sides but no floor, and I did put a chair there right outside the main door, and we took off our shoes before going inside the tent. That probably helped keep most of the dirt out. I did bring a whisk broom and dust pan, but never used it.
Besides, I was on vacation.

When the kids were little, we would watch all the parades, but now, not so much. On our last trip, we were there because our kids were doing the Magic Music Days with their high school marching band. The only parade we watched was the pre-parade that they were in.
The band is going again this April, with just our DD, but alas, we're not going.
I would like to see the evening parade at MK again though. Next time, I guess.

Well, I must say....
for a bunch of miscreant snarks, you all sure are welcoming.
BTW I just stopped over on the "dark side" and you can hear crickets chirping there....

Back when we were young and childless, we would go backpacking in the winter, ie snow. It is definitely a different experience. Bundle up in a super warm down sleeping bag, the snow under the tent compressing and melting a bit to conform to your body. Very snug with a warm enough sleeping bag. And you sleep for a loooong time. Just don't drink too much before bed. You definitely don't want to get up in the middle of the night for a run to the comfort station! Maybe nowadays we'd do it again.....in a trailer, as far as I'm concerned. I just have to convince my Boy Scout husband that we need to get one.

Thanks everybody!
I'm glad I'm here, too!
We don't have any trips to the Fort planned, but enjoy reading all about everyone else's.

Thanks for the great pictures!
I love your set up, too.
I just love Epcot during the Flower and Garden Festival. Your pictures remind me of when we were there 2 years ago.
(I tried stopping by your T@b on that trip, but you weren't there. :rofl2: ) Maybe someday we'll get to meet some fiends when we're at the Fort...
