I actually find this thread interesting and informative. Like somone once said, "those that don't study history, could possibly repeat it."
As with most visits to fortfiends.net , I've learned something. While it's true that you have to weed through some not so great stuff, there are usually nuggets if you look.
All parties have stayed civilized.

My only personal experience is with Kenny. He has been excellent each time (and I'm betting will be again at Christmas)

It looks like a great truck.
Being a little concerned about the "tail wagging the dog" scenario, I went with the '11 F250. It's a Turbo Diesel with 3.31 gears. On a couple of highway trips, with minimal head winds, I've 20-21 mpgs. Around town it only gets 16-17 mpg, but I'm hoping the diesel hype about them lasting 200,000-300,000 miles is true. I love this thing

You will love Christmas at the Fort. The decorations are amazing and the atmosphere is great. Lots of calm away from the craziness of the parks.
I'm counting on it. :)

If these ideas don't work, I've always had luck with Sevin. It's a dust based application that you sift or blow into the area or on their traffic routes. Always works for me, but I'm thinking about looking into the all natural one suggested by Otter Spotter aka Debbie

From the Touring Plans Blog...

I think I have a problem. When I read "something's brewing" I immediately thought beer at MK.

Wow. You find some of the most interesting items.
Not sure how we existed before the internet.

Cool.
A new Fiend joins the group.
TCD rockstar status reinforced.

... sort of like how pregnant women see tons of other pregnant women everywhere they look but don't notice them much at all after the baby is born.
Imagine all the future Fiends. :smug:

Day 11 continues…
...I know that was kind of anti-climatic.
Coming up: The Departure Day Blues
I would have (and have) done the same thing. Sometimes it's the things that you don't do, that make the things you do do so much more fun.

..... I let the dogs out,....
Finally, someone answered the question: "Who let the dogs out?"
Sorry. I knew it was bad as I was typing it, but couldn't help myself. :rofl2:

Outstanding TR!
I like the way it bounces around between subjects and you do a great job with the narratives.
You seem to have a bigger than life personality, and it really comes through on the TRs.
Thanks for sharing.

Rock on Double L. Enjoying the ride so far. thanks.

I've been told to take pictures of all your ticket media. I believe (but am not sure) that the serial number on the back could be used to mediate a remedy with Disney. Without that number, I can't see any recourse. Sorry

Wonder if Frank does installs as well. I've wanted an awning topper for my slide for awhile, but DIY seems a litte lofty.
Sure would be nice to come back from a fun day at the parks to find it all taken care of. :)
Has anyone had this kind of thing done while at the Fort?

Kenny's making a great business even better. :bravo:

We are like those gold fish that grow to their surroundings. :rofl2:

Something to look forward to. Thanks for the update.
One of the best pre-shows around. So much stuff to look at. Plus, I still like when the car fails the "brake test," and you take out the cones.

As always, thanks to TCD for sharing. Even when not staying at the Fort, you provided copious amounts of Fort related ambiance.
btw, I think you should consider copyright on "cornerectomy" (sp?) :rofl2:

... As far as Disney tickets go once you pass the 7 day ticket threshold the increase is minimal going up to the 10 day ticket. Personnally being there for 2 weeks I would by the 10 day base ticket so I have a ticket for everyday & not worry about it. That way if I change my mind & decide I want to hit the parks I can. Especially if your kids are like mine & would go crazy not being able to go to a park.
Great advice. The 10 day really drives down the per day cost, and makes it less compelling to have to make the park visits "commando" style.

Disney needs to put the old 80's-90's gate back up you had to use your KTTW card to get to Fort Wilderness Tr
A simple and eloquent solution.

...
But don't you worry- I was up early on Sunday morning for a little visit to the Fort, and there is still a lot more of this report to come- including some new things I saw at Fort Wilderness.
TCD
I think it's great the way you extract every second out of each trip. I need to work on that. Every trip, the night before we leave, I get reflective/introspective about he great time we just had and how it's coming to an end. It's a waste, and I need to save it for later when the vacation is over.
btw, digging the report as always.

Wow. Where is the snarkiness. I can't believe this thread has stayed so constructive in its nature. :rofl2:

Sun Pass
in General Camping Discussion and Questions
Posted
Has anyone actually purchased the Sun Pass mini for annual trips to Fort?
From reading their site, it appears there is a small discount for using it. However, the most attractive part for me seems to be the elimination of stopping at the toll booths and paying cash. Definitely make pulling my TT just a tad better.
Am I overstating the "convenience factor" improvement?
Is there a way to use the Sun Pass Mini, and not have to stick it on the window. Not sure i want that thing on my windshield the other 11 months of the year to remind me constantly that I'm not at Disney.
