They are tricky little critters. I can't believe the small nooks and crannies that they can fit into. I'm getting some of that expanding foam stuff for my next trip. Hopefully, that will prevent the problem before it starts. yikes.
-
.... I've already made a few reservations in the past couple of days, so I know they will go quickly again.
Amazaing how far in advance you have to plan. Disney has quite the little thing going. :wiz:

...
That girl had already caught plenty of fish on her own Tweety Bird fishing pole at that point in her life.
...
TCD
My daughter had the same pole, while my son used the tazmanian (sp?) devil model. Not sure I will ever part with those two pieces of their child hood.

......
I am in the same boat.
We have gone for NYE for the past several years. I have been trying for a while to get reservations at the Fort for this year. But so far, nothing. It is pretty annoying, because I'm sure they really aren't fully booked.
....
TCD
I hope you get your reservation. Maybe I'll see you there. Based on the strategic precision with which you attacked DHS on your first day in this report, I'm going to look back for some of your past Holiday TRs for planning tips.
Thanks,
-
TCD you talked me into joining and making a first post. I followed all of you from the other site, took a while to find you, but glad I did. Loving all the trip reports. I don't camp and have not been to the Fort, but looks like a wonderful place. Port Orleans Riverside is where we have stayed the last four visits, we love it there. Looking forward to your trip report . It has been a year since we were last there. Next time we are at disney I would like to go over to the Fort and look around, can anyone go there and just visit?
Getting to follow a "TCD TR" is definitely worth the transition from lurkdom. Welcome and enjoy the content.

Wait. I reserve the right to change my mind. :)
My new favorite is of the pyramid at Mexico. Pretty cool the way you framed it in the arches.
-
Epcot with that beautiful blue sky are favorites. Awesome photography! You might have to give up your amatuer status. :)

OK. Cool. I'm caught up and it was very interesting read as usual.
One addition to the beer at SW discussion. I am working from memory, which gets fuzzier every year, but I seem to recall a "Beer School." at SW. Its probably been a dozen years, but i remember it was inside a beautiful air conditioned theater with dif't beer samples perched on the desk in front of each participant. They explained how dif't incredients and variations to process changed flavor. They you were directed to taste the appropriate sample. I received honors upon graduation from that school. :rofl2:
Sounds like it no longer exists. It's too bad that inBev had to spoil everything.

Well, I've had limited internet availability lately. Lo and behold, a TCD TR occurrence is afoot. I can't wait to dig right in and get caught up. Thanks for the update.

Same here. Always rented from Kenny. However, when I was researching, Steve's group came up a lot and it was also always positive. Seems like they both run a reputable business

Okay, this thread is making me feel snarky ...
Are you bothered by the sight of this?
As long as you are following the rules that are agreed upon when renting the site, I don't believe whether people are "bothered" or not is relevant. If you are following the rules, it's none of their business.

It's tough to ascertain what "days" are left on my old non expiring tickets. Typically you have to go to the ticket window at Disney for confirmation.
If they made the service available online, it might make it tougher on these unscrupulous types.

Very cool review. Nicely done. Thanks.
I've had many a beverage at the bar, but I think you've persuaded me to enjoy a meal next time.
-
Sorry for the multiple entries. This tiny netbook is driving me crazy where the mouse pad is located.
Your pics at EPCOT from the monorail are my favorite (I think Doodle, TCD, and rm have already called them out). Its a neat perspective that I don't remeber seeing.
GREAT Job!

Your TR's are less like reports and more like pictorial art. How you remember to capture everything, then later sequence and caption the entries is amazing. Thanks for sharing.
-
I'm glad I finally got caught up on this outstanding TR. I've been slacking off.

This is a GREAT trip report!!! I think you should re-title it the "All American TR." You mention all the great themes.
1) Our awesome military - The reason we are safe in this great country
2) The Bald Eagle - A symbol of this great country (always brings goosebumps to see this majestic bird)
3) Memories of the older generation
4) Making memories with the younger generation
5) a plate with hot dog (where's the apple pie?)
6) Parade's
and many, many more.
Side note: While the bungie cords holding the grate on the beach cleaners vehicle is impressive, I have doubts that it would warrant selection as a TCD Real man of genius award. :)

MB has attained a Phd in Snarky. It is indeed rarified air. Congrats.

Cool. We'll look for that awesome display

The subject line of this thread always reminds me of a joke. (pardon any spelling errors.)
An interviewer for a job always ends with one question, "What does 2+2= ?"
The first candidate is not too bright and answers "5"
The 2nd candidate is a mathematician who proceeds to dictate pages and pages of formulas which culminates with him stating unequivocally,"It has to be 4."
The last candidate is an accountant who answers simply, "What do you want it to equal."
I wonder who got the job

It's a tie. Bud Light at the camper or anything at the R &C. See, my wife loves to stop by there for the "fish and chips," Thus, i have plenty of time to kill at the R & C bar

....that we would be much more "Jetsons" and "Star Trek" like. I at least wanted Rosie and a flying car!
I bet my iPhone has more apps than Captain Kirk's communicator. :rofl2:

That things a beast. Very cool!
We have a older bunkhouse model ('09 Keystone 29bhs) and love it. You're going to have a blast. Congrats.

We leave at the tail end of evening rush hour traffic. That puts us through the awful Atlanta experience before their morning rush hour. While I no longer drive straight through, I find a 1 hour nap at a rest stop does the trick. My biggest problem is when the sun comes up over the horizon. I could have awakened from sleeping for 3 days straight, and that sun coming up would make my eyelids come down. I don't know what it is, but I don't fight it.

This stuff is hilarious. I keep picturing, in my mind, the poor tourist actually asking the question with astraight face. :rofl2:
