Do you think we are entertaining the guests?
-
You said she would accuse you of shamelessly posting. I do believe we are.
-
What is there to say. We have told a completely factual story of the events that transpired. only the names were changed to protect the innocent.
-
Aren't we though?
-
Pam is trying to catch up.
LOL probably.
-
She must think she's invisible.
-
We can see you Pam.
-
Are we going to keep this up till she comes back? If so I might need some caffeine.
-
Wait we are rich? Why didn't we just buy into the new DVC at the Fort we heard advertised.
-
Definite imbibing. And 1 is just about enough to make me forget. I'm a light weight
-
And I am pretty sure that since we were arrived I had cracked open one of my Sam Adams Cherry Wheat to celebrate no more work for a few days.
-
okay maybe 1/3rd of the site. We did need room for the AC unit.
-
I must be getting old I can't remember the rest of that day. I think I was beat from teh drive and the setup.....oh wait the squatters cooked steaks.
-
We left the mto eat and went to set up on their site. Once you are set up squatters right go into effect and the squatter becomes much harder to get rid of.
-
Thank you for pointing out that sloppy mistake. As you were there would you like to contribute to this imaginary TR?
I keep slipping and contributing reality to it though.
-
They were at Trail's End when we showed up on Bob's doorstep looking for help finding them. And believe me on Bob's cart that took a while....
-
At some point they invite squatters to use the back of their site, in the 1500 loop.....
As the squatters in question I would like to point out we were in the 1700 loop...

More of Mickey's House
In the back of the house you go into a studio area to meet Mickey.
I had heard and seen pictures of Mickey dressed up as he is for the band concert and that if you asked and he was going to be available you could stand aside and they would bring you in at the appropriate time. The actualy have 3 separate Mickey's doing meet and greet which keeps the line moving. I managed to ask without Silvia seeing or hearing me do so. She was a little confused when we were asked to step aside and not sent in. When we were led in I was very disappointed.
We got regular Mickey in his tux with the Band Concert background. I smiled anyway and Silvia loved the background. I explained to her after what I tried to do and she was grateful that I tried. Oh well maybe next time.
A little more Toontown
The queue for Roger Rabbit's Car Toon Spin.
If you get queasy on Buzz Lightyear don't go near this thing. No matter how hard you try you can not control the spinning. It was cute but one ride was enough for us.
Some more musicians playing for Mary and Bert.
We did some other things that I don't seem to have pictures of and then it was time for the 3 o'clock parade. Funnily enough it was at 3 O'clock. I will write that one up in my next post through. It is going to be Soundsational.

When we were done taking pics we headed over to Toontown. If you have ever seen Who Framed Roger Rabbit it is like they picked Toontown up out of the movie and plopped it down here. The Toontown Fair in Disney World had nothing on this place.
Going under the railroad bridge into Toontown
I think this is the message that should be on the door of every company that does repairs of any kind.

not sure on pic count. will continue in next post.

Sorry for the delay. Let's continue on shall we.
When last we left off we were heading for Star Tours. I will admit something right now. I am a huge Science Fiction fan. I like Star Wars, Star Trek and a whole slew of other sci-fi. One of the funniest coincidences i have had in my life is when my wife and I were looking for a dog, Silvia's first dog ever, and we found this great cocker spaniel who needed a lot of work with trusting people and other dogs. His current owner needed to find a new home for him because her other 2 cockers were ganging up on him and would not let him eat. We went to meet him and when she told us his name we were sold. His name is Jedi. After many years of hard work he is a great dog and Silvia is now a dog lover.
Sorry for hijacking my own thread but what i was getting at was that I was excited to ride the new Star Tours. I love it. to the point that later in our trip we had an early morning entry and I rode it 11 times in a row trying to get as many combinations as possible.
Ok enough blabbing, Bob is probably already nodding off. Here are some pics.
Star Tours queue
After coming out of Star Tours we had stopped just off the hub next to the Plaza Inn using the facilities and figuring out our next step when a whole bunch of characters came walking past heading to the backstage area.
I took a look at the times guides and noticed that the Main Street Philharmonic was going to be performing momentarily in front of the castle. Being musicians we could not miss this.
When they finished playing we headed over to the Enchanted Tiki room. This was still the original version and it was before Disney World's Tiki Room was changed back to the original version. The one in Disneyland is better. There is a water fountain in the middle that interacts with the show to some degree. It just seemed like a better version. Maybe be it was because it was the original. I am not sure.
After that we saw a photopas photographer in front of the castle by the partners statue and got our picture taken. He was also kind enough to use our camera.
I will continue in the next post.

That breakfast looks good! I love a plate that includes bacon, sausage and Mickey waffles.
It was a good breakfast and and I love a good buffet with those things as well.
More coming up shortly. What an impressive line-up of characters! Wow!
And, going back to the pics of the Spanish Mission - that would make a beautiful place for a wedding.
I was sharing your report with DH and he enjoyed it too! I can't believe we are only a week into it...
Can't wait to see more!
Really enjoying your pictures.
Yes, that was an impressive lineup of characters!
I am glad that so many people are enjoying this trip report.
Umm-
I don't know.
j/k that is pretty cool.
There is a rumor that there will be a tower for Rapunzel in the area that is under construction next to the Haunted Mansion at WDW. I could see something like this fitting in there.
You also got a weathervane in the photo, there at the top left.
And, I have a question about that flying Dumbo- the way the thing moves, I would guess there is a small person inside the costume. Is that what is going on there?
TCD
I know Heidi already answered this but I believe you are correct and that there is a person inside of Dumbo.
Just looking at all those pictures of you two with the characters is cheering me up today........I can almost feel your happiness coming through the screen!!
For Silvia and myself traveling together is our most favorite activity. We take as many trips as we can even to the point of just going out for drives around New England on a day off.
I am amazed that you were up next to the railing and didnt get wet!!!! We were in the middle section and we were getting wet there. I don't remember a breeze, but maybe there was one, sending the water back our way. All I could think of as we watched was , "those people up front must be getting soaked" I am glad that wasnt the case for you.
Looking forward to your pictures. I wasnt able to get any good ones.
I didn't take any of the actual show but I did get a couple of good shots of the pier and the World of Color logo on the water screen at the end.

Some food pictures of kitties for Dave
I have finally made it fiends. My post was auto corrected by the system. LOLOL

Continuing on to breakfast at the Plaza Inn restaurant. This place had pretty good food. Buffet style very similar in offerings to Crystal Palace or Chef Mickey's. The Characters are only here for breakfast which is known as Minnie and Friends Breakfast in the Park. They had a good amount of characters at this but what drew us were the ones we hadn't met yet.
When my wife was younger her family used to come to Disney World every other year, but her Dad did it for the kids he had no real love for it. They would not have stood in line to meet a character or paid the money for a character meal so on our 1 year anniversary trip I booked Crystal Palace. She has been hooked ever since.
Here are some pictures.
There is indoor and outdoor seating. We ended up indoors.
Our Hostess
She loves this picture with Hook. She had no idea he was holding the hook to her throat.

Rafiki!
Geppetto getting a little to friendly with my wife.
As we were leaving we ran into this guy.
Which prompted Geppetto to run over and try and keep him away from Silvia.
It was a nice breakfast with a lot of characters. The one difference is you get 1.5 hours. We didn't use all of that time so I don't know if we would have actually been asked to leave but that is how long your reserved breakfast is for.
In the next installment we will head for Star Tours!

Ok I am waiting. But I have to say those steaks would be really nasty by now if I was holding them instead of having eaten them almost 2 months ago.
