  1. LOL!

As you now know, I am not tougher than you.

    I bought that shirt.

    And that created another problem.

It meant that the other twin was entitled to a new T-shirt too.

We had to spend a while looking for the perfect one.

But we found her one eventually.

I have a photo of it too.

Coming up a bit later in the report.

Too funny....I had a feeling you weren't quite that tough. I know how hard it is when my dd looks at me wanting me to buy her something. I would have bought that shirt on the spot for your DD.

I also totally understand about the "now you have to buy the other one something".

But you know what - it's all good in the end!

Enjoying the report, you may recall our last visit to WDW was at Port Orleans. We really liked it and if I couldn't stay at the Fort, it was a great alternative.

  2. We had the same problem first trip out this year. It was a bad "combination valve". It had a freeze plug type cap that split the nylon threads. Probably had a little bit of water in it that froze and expanded. I was able to find the part which was specific to my toilet at an RV supply store and had it fixed in about 30 minutes. Pretty easy to change but access was tight. Part was about $30 bucks if I remember.

Sounds like you are more fortunate, ours leaked as long as the water was turned on.

  3. I was really hoping to solve the mystery of those raised concrete circles and the wooden boxes.

    Let's see-

-We have the pool closed for some type of construction.

-There are three new light poles lying outside of the pool.

-There are three circles with wires sticking out of them stationed around the pool perimeter.

    I got nothing.

I'm sure I will figure it out one of these days.

As you can see, I was getting rained on while taking these photos, so it was time to move on.

I will leave the mystery solving for another day.

Next up, we visit a couple of our favorite loops.

And we see some things that we didn't expect.

    TCD

Yes, I think you did. Not only did you solve the boxes issue but also the "pool closes at dusk issue"!

  4. I don't have a witty answer to your riddle.

But, I'm glad that someone caught my erroneous North Pole reference.

In my last company we did projects all over the world, so you really had to know your geography. This was my boss's favorite interview question. Sorry for picking on you but it just jumped out at me.

Great report and we do Sea World quite often so it is really great to see a TR on it.

  5. This summer, they worked as volunteers at the Clearwater Marine Aquarium. Have you heard of it? Maybe after next month you will. The Clearwater Marine Aquarium is the home of Winter, the dolphin, Winter is the star of a major motion picture which premiers next month. It's called Dolphin Tale. The human stars in this film include Morgan Freeman, Harry Connick, Jr., and Ashley Judd. I think Chris Christopherson is in it too. The film is based on the true story of Winter, who was injured and lost her tail (get the play on words in the films title?). The aquarium made her a prosthetic tail, and she is doing just fine now, thank you. All Summer long, the girls have volunteered two days a week at the aquarium. They have been counselors for the summer camps hosted there. They have enjoyed it very much, and they both now have an interest in marine biology.

This is very cool. We are big fans of the Clearwater Aquarium. My oldest volunteered at Tennessee Aquarium and hopes to do a stint at Clearwater some day. My youngest shares a missing limb like Winter and Winter is a huge inspiration. I think they do great work there!

  6. I wouldn't worry. Keep trying They haven't loaded all the sites as available yet. I never seem to be able to get my Dec ressie till Jan

Carol is right on the money here. They probably have not loaded them and when they do, it may not even be for a week or more from now. They will load blocks of dates. It may be the whole month, week or just a group. No way you can figure out when that day will be except to just keep trying. I have stuggled with this in the past. Working with Rhonda is a great idea. Don't worry though, very seldom do sites "sell out" at Fort in the first 50 to 100 days they are available.

Oh just wanted to add that I really doubt that anyone is "computer" reserving up sites to resell. Only a travel agent could reasonably do this and so few even know the Fort exists, much less would grab sites to resell at higher prices (which I am sure would also risk their access to Disney Reservations system), that I am pretty sure there is slim to no chance this is occuring.

  7. #3 How do you go about Atlanta? It is always stressful even without a TT. Do you usually go straight through, take the bypass, go waaay around? If you go straight through, how do you manuever the lane changes? We are thinking it is probably best to go through on the weekends our first few trips, but I want to be prepared.

I typically drive through ATL and I have the same length rig. Our rush hour is 6:30am to 9:30am and 3:30pm to 7pm. I would avoid going through ATL at those times either 75 or 285. 285 may be a bit better but around here you never know. Also, we have been having a lot of roadwork on weekends and late night so check this site out before you go.

I will say for the first time, it may be best to go I-285 as there are several lane changes and the lanes seem much narrower on I-75. I am used to it but it was white knuckles the first few times. There are still imprints in the passenger side dashboard. There curves seem a bit tighter as well. You really have to stay on your toes. If you travel during non-peak, all of these issues are minimized as you have more time to see what's ahead and react.

Congrats on the new trailer. Happy Camping!

  8. Well, a good team is beginning to come together. Kinda like this one.

So gets to be Mr. T?

I think I better let someone else have the honors. I never really embraced my inner Mr T.....

Besides, I am more of a "Murdock" as described on wikipedia "who has been declared insane and lives in a Veterans Administration mental institution for the show's first four seasons".

More info from wiki...."During their adventures, the A-Team was constantly met by opposition from the military police." Seems appropriate don't cha think? :popo: :siren:

  9. Disclaimer - I have never been to this but it does look pretty interesting. I mean, How could you go wrong with beer drinking in Savannah on the Riverfront?
