    I rinsed off the roof as good as I could and then let it dry (didn't take long in the 100 degree Texas heat at the time).  I then used the acetone to clean the areas where I was going to apply the Eternabond.  I didn't rinse it off, I just waited for it to evaporate.  I then applied the primer and then the Eternabond.  I will be following the same procedure on my trailer, except I will be doing it this fall instead of the 100 degree heat this time.  :)

When I used Eternabond on my motorhome many years ago, I used acetone for cleaning and also used the primer.  Not sure if it helped, but it definitely didn't hurt.  All the Eternabond was still on it when I sold it 4 years ago.  I am going to be using Eternabond on my trailer in the near future and I'll use acetone & primer again.

My Ford F150 Raptor has the 6.2L V8, so I can't comment on personal experience with EcoBoost engines in F150's.  But, I have friends & family with 3.5 EcoBoost F150's and they couldn't be happier.  Also, my daily driver is a 2014 Fusion with a 2.0L EcoBoost and our company has two 2013 Escapes also with 2.0L EcoBoost engines that are used by our outside salesmen, and I have to say that they have been great engines so far.  Both Escapes have nearly 100,000 miles and only one has had any problems (it was an emission related part that failed).  I also have a 2017 Explorer on order for my wife with the 2.3 EcoBoost.  We test drove Explorers with both the N/A 3.5 V6 and the 2.3 EcoBoost back to back.  The little 2.3 EcoBoost felt much more powerful than the 3.5 V6, that's why we decided to get it.  If it gets better mileage, that'll just be a bonus.

    As far as plastic intakes, oil pans, etc., I don't have much of an issue with them.  My son's 04 Mustang GT had a crack in the plastic intake manifold after 12 years & 120,000 miles.  So I bought a new one on Amazon for $150 (with free next day delivery) and we had it installed in a few hours.  If I can drive a vehicle for 12 years and 120,000 miles and then only put $150 into it, I'm okay with that.  :)

  4. I have used Kenny several times and I have never had anything but a positive experience.  He's always gone above & beyond to accommodate my requests.  I am having a hard time believing that he would treat anyone like this.  Are there any locals or anybody currently using any Tee Time carts that can get Kenny to comment on this situation?

    I added a picture of the cart I rented from Kenny back in June.  It was an awesome cart.

    Yes it cost a bunch of money to build, but that's the cost of doing business, and it would be recouped a lot quicker than a comparable priced room at a resort.  Like I said previously, a room even when empty costs $ in heating cooling, electric, and all the costs of the common grounds inside the building and the rest of the grounds.

    I guess if I ran the world, I would expand the Fort and make more people happy, even if it cut into my profits a bit.  I mean it's not like WDW is operating in the red and a slight drop in profit margin at one resort is going to bankrupt the Disney Empire.

    That's what I was thinking.  It's got to cost them more to not have premium sites to rent out during peak times than to have empty sites during slow times.

    I have the same rule and broke it recently.  Long story short, my brother had to buy me a new tailgate.  :)

  8. Drat. I would love to get on-site benefits but still stay in my camper.I wonder if you could just rent a space at Turkey Lake and just not stay in your camper. If I recall, their sites are fairly inexpensive.

    A partial hook up is $16.89/ night. Cheaper than parking at the hotel and you get electricity.

We are in the middle of planning our biennial 2 week trip to Fort Wilderness for June of 2016.  We usually check in at the Fort on a Saturday and then check out 2 weeks later.  While we are there, we hit all the Disney parks as well as the Universal parks (we even went to LEGOLAND last time we were there).  During the planning for this trip, I was looking at Universal ticket prices and determined that for not much more, we could stay on a Universal property for two or three nights and take advangatge of their early park admission as well as get Express Unlimited ride access for "free".  My idea is to stay at Universal at either the beginning or at the end of our trip and stay at the Fort for the balance.  The problem I run into is what to do with my trailer while I am at Universal.  Has anybody else ever done this?  If so, what did you do with your camper?  Ideally, I would like to find a secure storage facility where I could keep it plugged in.  Any & all ideas would be greatly appreciated.

  10. We had a Tracvision dome on our motorhome and never had a problem getting a signal on our last 5 trips to the fort. We now have a travel trailer with the Winegard Trav'ler mounted on the roof. At other parks, as long as there's no trees on top or directly in front of the dish, we've never had a problem and don't anticipate any when we check in on Saturday. We'll probably hook up the cable too for that Disney experience. :)
