  1. The end of this report means the beginning of the next one will follow shortly... TCD mentioned he has another trip report in the wings once he's done this one

    You are partially correct.

I actually have three trip reports to do after this one.

But, this one is not done yet!

    TCD

  2. Welcome back TCD, missed your reports.

    Thanks.

    I remember you.

I hope to see more of your posts about the old days at the Fort.

    As always, loving your TR!

    CCI!

    Good to see you here.

    Thanks for checking in.

I already posted a couple of comments on your trip report.

If anyone reading along here hasn't read CCI's trip report, check it out. You can currently find it on the same page as this one, maybe just a thread or two in either direction.

I hate to see this report coming to an end... :( but I have enjoyed every twist and turn and every step through the weeds!

We are getting close to the end, but we are not there yet.

    So don't go anywhere.

There is still a bit more to come!

I'm a little late to the party but great report!

    Better late than never.

    Welcome.

Picking up DD21 at work today, we saw a dog that looked just like Rocky leaving the store. Of course, it wasn't Rocky... it didn't take close examination or rocket science to know that either... we could tell b/c this boxer was wearing a pink sundress with big white polka dots... :rofl2:

    Well, duh.

Rocky would never wear polka dots.

He prefers solid colors, and maybe occasionally a floral pattern, on his sundresses.

  3. CCI-

    Welcome!

You made it here just on my heels.

It is great to see you here.

I remember you well from another discussion board- I enjoyed your last report on the D23 event.

Since you posted your whole report before I got a chance to comment, you will get all of my comments in one post.

    I enjoyed your report thoroughly.

I will confine my comments to these ten:

    1. You are a great writer!

    2. You are an even better photographer!

    3. I'm sorry to hear that you did not enjoy your GAG. Every now and then, we have received tough chicken, too. But, recently it has always been good for us.

    4. Great job on the Fantasyland expansion photos. I find this one to be very intriguing:

    Freno4.jpg

When I first looked at it, it didn't dawn on me that there is another castle going in back there.

    Wow.

    I didn't know that.

And, I have been at the MK as recently as April.

    Interesting.

    5. That is crazy about your flooded site. I have seen this happen before. When they install new plants, they hook irrigation lines up to the campsite water supplies. And, then they have a castmember come around and manually turn them on and off. I think campers sometimes accidentally turn these on. I had one of these black hoses running next to my site all day once. I shut it off myself. It seems like they waste an awful lot of water with this set up. And it looks bad, too.

    6. Great job on the Native American photo. Not only did the Fort lose Musket Mickey, but it also lost all of its totem poles. It is odd indeed that there are still two native American statues in the MK.

    7. Good for you seeing the Country Bears! I forced my kids to see it recently. They still haven't forgiven me for that.

    8. Great shot of the Southern Smothered Hot Dog!

    9. You did great photographing the Magic, Memories and You show. I have only seen it a couple of times, but I liked it much more than I thought I would.

    10. I hope to see more of your posts here!

    TCD

  4. I had to zoom in a little closer to make sure you were wearing the corect T shirt. Turns out you were.

    100_0049.jpg

    Ha Ha!

    Very funny!

But, why would I want to wear that shirt?

The FIRST PLACE Rays just swept the Red Socks!

    Go Rays!

Way cool weekend, I wish I had been Jack. One quick question. Is the motion still as bad on the new Star Wars as it was on the old? I would like to try it but am a little afraid of getting sick :(

Sorry to say, but in my opinion the motion is worse.

And, the film is in 3D.

I generally don't get sick on these types of attractions.

But, Mission Space gets to me a bit. Especially after multiple rides.

There was one sequence in Star Tours which involved a rapid backward effect. It was very realistic, but it is definitely not for those prone to motion sickness.

I would say it's not as bad as Mission Space.

But, I wouldn't want to ride it multiple times in a row.

We're headed off to the Studios today...was going to try and check out the new Star Tours.

But here it is, with pics too!! We're a day late again...gotta get up real early to scoop TCD!!

We missed TCD at the Fort when I got "Spiked" because we were in DTD. :argh:

Please come back and visit again!

    Yep.

    You snooze, you loose.

    Enjoy your spike!

    I don't think I'll be back before y'all leave.

    TCD

  5. This will be what you call one of those short trip reports.

Just one more batch of photos.

To re-cap- we started our day at AK, hopped over to Epcot, and then on to Hollywood Studios.

By now, it was time to think about dinner.

And, when I am at WDW when evening approaches, I start to think Trail's End and Giddyap and Go.

So we headed to the Fort.

There was quite a commotion going on.

There was a big triathlon scheduled for Sunday morning, and check-in had to be completed by 6 pm.

The triathletes parked their bikes in the field adjacent to Pioneer Hall.

There were quite a few bikes.

    See?:

    100_0103.jpg

    100_0104.jpg

    100_0105.jpg

    100_0106.jpg

A huge tent was set up next to the Settlement playground, with smaller tents and such set up all the way toward the old River Country entrance:

    100_0107.jpg

    100_0108.jpg

    100_0109.jpg

When I saw all of this, I was concerned that Trail's End would be packed, and that there would be no tables available on the porch.

Well, it turns out that triathletes do not gorge on fried chicken the night before a big race.

So, Jack got to enjoy a GAG along with us right there on the porch:

    100_0110.jpg

Here's a shot from the porch looking toward the marina and Settlement Trading Post. Note the row of porta-potties set up to the left of the Trading Post in this shot:

    100_0111.jpg

We had parked up front, and taken a bus back to the Settlement.

On the way back to the Outpost, we took a purple bus. They were going to town on the cabin pool. It looks like this is more than just a resurfacing. I would guess that the deep end is going bye-bye.

We stopped at the Reception Outpost for a final pit stop before hitting the road. I love the flowers that are always in bloom around here:

    100_0112.jpg

    100_0114.jpg

    100_0117.jpg

This old poster has always captured my attention. One of these was recently up for sale on eBay. I didn't get to see what the final sale price was:

    100_0119.jpg

    100_0118.jpg

The original plan was to hit the MK.

But, it was raining off and on, and we were a bit tired from our early start.

    So, we headed on home.

    That is all.

    TCD

  6. Friendly competition? Of course! No winner or loser?! Hold the phone! I like to be able to talk smack, like this: TCD drinks cheap beer!

    Norm-

    I heard that!

    But, what can I say?

    It's true.

I would rather drink a Bud Light than some beer with a name I can't pronounce, or garnish with a piece of fruit.

    Guilty as charged.

Your photos and captions are excellent.

    Very, very, creative.

    Keep up the good work!

    TCD

  7. Part of the TCD gang made a one day blitzkrieg visit to WDW on May 14, 2011.

Naturally, there are photos to share and news to report.

As some on you may know, I have been working on a trip report from a visit three months ago. It is a bit difficult to post about events that happened three months ago.

I will be finishing that trip report up soon.

But, let's take a little detour and look at some things that are very current.

    Like two days old.

    This was an unplanned trip.

Mrs. TCD is a pre-school teacher.

One of the activities she does each year is to use a stuffed animal which each student gets to take home for a week. They are required to take photos and write a report with their parents' help. On Friday, they get to share their report with the class. It is kind of liked controlled show and tell.

Well, at the end of the year, Mrs. TCD gets to take the animal home and give a report to the class. She always wants to do something that will be interesting for the students.

Well, this was Mrs. TCD's week.

The TCD twins suggested a visit to WDW.

    I'm always up for that.

So, early on Saturday morning, May 14, we headed east.

We started our day at Animal Kingdom for rope drop.

There was no rope drop ceremony, and we were standing outside of Expedition Everest at just before 9 am.

This is Jack, who was along for the day:

    100_0050.jpg

    Here is Jack on EE:

    100_0049.jpg

Here is Jack on Dinosaur (he is the blurry blob in the back row-look for the Ray's shirt):

    100_0052.jpg

Jack with the Tree of Life:

    100_0058.jpg

After EE and Dinosaur, we were going to take a safari ride, but the wait was already 40 minutes. So, we headed to Rafiki's Planet Watch. It had been a while since we have visited there.

My DD's always enjoy the mask making station that is set up in Harambe Village:

    IMG_3235.jpg

After that, it was about 11, and we decided to bolt and go get some lunch.

Since we were at AK, we decided to eat at AKL. We all love the Mara.. While there, my DD's ran into a friend from school who visits WDW about as much as we do. They had just hopped from Hollywood Studios, and were on their way to AK. The girl's father had three Toy Story Midway Mania Fastpasses that they were not going to use, and he offered them to me. Sweet.

While at AK, one of my DD's loaded a new app on here phone called Gowalla. I am not sure what this is exactly, but it was mentioned in the latest passholder's newsletter. There, we learned that you could use this app to check in at certain places in WDW, and earn a pin. She had checked in at certain places in AK. She was taking a look at it during lunch, and saw an announcement about a celebration of Pixar's 25th anniversary at Epcot which was taking place on Saturday, May 14. I had not heard anything about this, but it was all there on her phone. There was a guidemap and everything. We decided to make Epcot our next stop.

    And here we are!:

    100_0067.jpg

This Pixar thing was pretty cool.

They had events, which were mostly character meet and greets, throughout Epcot.

And, they also had the old Millennium Village opened up, with a bunch of character meet and greets in there.

On the way in to the building, they had interesting displays like this:

    100_0079.jpg

Here are some of the characters the girls got to meet. A lot of these are what you would call "rares," and this was a big deal to a lot of folks who were there. We had never seen some of these characters before, like Mr. Potato Head:

    IMG_3253.jpg

    IMG_3249.jpg

    IMG_3254.jpg

    IMG_3264.jpg

We even got to meet Duffy:

    IMG_3275.jpg

And, we even spotted a celebrity!

Do you remember the pregnant man from a few years ago?

He/she was even on the cover of People magazine.

I wonder what ever happened to him/her?

Well, guess who we ran right in to at Epcot?

    Him/Her!!!!

    Look!:

    IMG_3278.jpg

This would be a good time for me to post a warning.

If you are a pregnant man and you go to WDW, chances are your photo will end up in a TCD trip report.

I am sure that you have all seen photos of the Lotso topiary which is up front at Epcot for the Flower and Garden festival.

Well, did you know that they have strawberry plants planted all around it?

Look here, you can see the strawberries:

    IMG_3279.jpg

At Epcot, we purchased a new outfit for Jack the bear.

And, then we hopped over to Hollywood Studios, where Jack got to meet the Big Cheese himself:

    100_0081.jpg

We used our Toy Story Midway Mania Fastpasses here.

    100_0082.jpg

    100_0086.jpg

Jack got to visit New York on this trip:

    100_0090.jpg

Since Jack had a Buzz Lightyear costume now, I suggested that we go over to the Star Wars attraction and take his photo with something Space Related.

To our surprise, the Star Tours attraction, which had been closed for a major renovation, was open!

Its grand opening is not scheduled to take place until May 20th, but here we were, and it was open.

So, we had to check it out!

The only problem for our story is that there was no photography allowed. It says so right here:

    100_0092.jpg

There were castmembers stationed throughout the que warning people not to take photos.

I checked my camera to make sure it was off, and I accidentally took these photos while I was trying to put it away:

    100_0093.jpg

    100_0094.jpg

This is in a big room when you first enter the que.

The ship and the robots are not new, but this big screen is:

    100_0095.jpg

The cue is a lot cleaner and more futuristic looking than the old:

    100_0097.jpg

The big change in this attraction is the fact that it is now 3D. And the 3D glasses are really cool!:

    100_0098.jpg

The new Star Tours is way better than the old version!

We also noticed that a huge stage has been set up right in front of the hat for the Star Wars weekends which will begin this coming weekend:

    100_0099.jpg

    100_0101.jpg

We took Jack on Tower of Terror:

    100_0102.jpg

And then it was time to bounce to our next destination.

    Which was . . .

    Did you guess MK?

    Not yet.

    We headed to the Fort.

And saw some interesting things there.

Which you will see in the next installment.

    TCD

This post has been promoted to an article

  8. Very clever trip report!

And I learned that I have a couple of kindred spirits here because:

    1. I hate to go to the mall too.

    and

    2. I am a Survivor fan, too!

But I didn't have a caramel apple to eat while watching the finale.

Good job on this faux trip to DTD!

    TCD

  9. Man! An 18 pages + trip report for a couple of days at the Fort.... Heck TCD, if you go for a week, Chris and Jen are gonna have to call up Al Gore and order up some more internet space..... I think we may be close to end of the internet now :smug:

    LOL!

Hopefully there is plenty of space for future contributions.

    Love Rocky!

    Me too.

He is really an awesome dog.

Its good to have you back. The place would be the same without your reports. I have read every page, a little late start albeit, but enjoyed every one of them. I have been to honeymoon island a few times and had no idea you frequent it. Ill have to be on the look out next time we venture over that way.

I was going to do a trip report of our visit next week, but now am a bit gun shy. Ill never be able to compete with this monster and am way too old to be hacking my way through the back woods of the Fort to find the rails, so Im glad you took the bullet for us and showed us a piece of history. I still carry my Junoir TCD badge and I proudly show anyone willing to listen.

    Hey Devores!

    Good to see you here.

Don't be shy about posting. You have made great contributions before.

You did a great trip report last year, with some unique photos.

Not all trip reports need to be bloated messes like this one.

In fact, I for one appreciate a short trip report with a few quality photos.

The problem with me is that I lack the quality photos, so I make up for it with volume.

And, I'll bet a lot of people would be surprised to hear that you are the person who invented the Fiendmingo.

    You are a legend!

You are a TCD Junior Deputy.

I want to see some photos!

    TCD

  10. And here are the first of some pictures on the new FantasyLand expansion. These were taken over the fence...the ones taken from Dumbo didn't turn out very good and I have to try again.

What you need there is a broomstick and some duct tape!

    Just kidding.

    Your photos are great.

And, congratulations on being the third trip report to exceed 1000 views!

And, you are still going strong!

    Keep up the good work!

    TCD

  11. Back to our report.

I have got to get this one finished.

It is getting way too long.

Who is going to read an 18 (soon to be 19+) page trip report?

It may be great, but I wouldn't.

So we have got to get to the end here.

    We are getting close.

We left off on Sunday night.

    We got to bed late.

    But, I was up early.

    Surprised your there, didn't I?

Unfortunately, it was time to pack up and go home.

We were going to follow our new practice.

Which is, the girls would head to a park for rope drop, and I would stay back at camp to pack up.

    So, I got up early.

Early enough to enjoy a peaceful sunrise at the marina:

    100_9367.jpg

Here's the Settlement Trading Post at sunrise:

    100_9368.jpg

    Let's try that again:

    100_9369.jpg

Note the survey markers up around the fire hydrant.

There was a rumor floating around last year (started by OtterSpotter) that the Settlement Trading Post was going to done away with. So I take photos of it whenever I visit. Since this visit, however, they put a new roof on it in March. And WBI discovered plans for the new Backyard BBQ pavilion which suggest that the Trading Post is not going anywhere. So that is good.

By the way, if you haven't seen WBI's thread, here's a link. He discovered some very big news: Breaking News!

I love how mist rises off of Bay Lake on cold mornings in the winter:

    100_9370.jpg

Here is a very misty Bay Lake:

    100_9371.jpg

If you look very carefully near the center of these photos, you can see a fishing party out on the lake:

    100_9372.jpg

    100_9373.jpg

    100_9374.jpg

    100_9375.jpg

Do you know how many Lake Patrol boats ply the waters of Bay Lake?

    A lot:

    100_9376.jpg

Here we are on the dock at the marina, looking toward Discovery Island and the Contemporary Resort:

    100_9377.jpg

I like the fact that you can see the resort monorail track from here. It is hard to see in this photo, but if you were really standing here, you would be able to see the monorail track in the opening to the left of Discovery Island:

    100_9378.jpg

If some of the rumors circulating are true, there will be a DVC resort built some day in the area on the left in the photo above.

One of the things that I really appreciate is that you will almost always find a castmember cleaning something in the Settlement area in the morning. Here, a fellow is pressure washing the dock:

    100_9379.jpg

    100_9380.jpg

Here's a shot of good old Clementine's Beach:

    100_9381.jpg

According to everything I have seen, while there may be a lot of new things constructed all around this area, the beach is going to be left alone.

Now we are turned and looking to the East, the rumored new pavilion will be built in the area to the right of this shot:

    100_9382.jpg

And, here, we are looking out at beautiful Bay Lake:

    100_9383.jpg

The young cypress trees here on the beach have almost dropped all of their leaves:

    100_9384.jpg

    Not to worry.

Winter lasts but a short time in central Florida.

By early March, these trees will be covered with new leaves.

According to what I have seen, our old friend, the lawnmower tree stump is not long for this world. So here's a photo:

    100_9385.jpg

And another, from just a bit of a different angle. You can see Trail's End/Pioneer Hall there in the background:

    100_9386.jpg

    Another shot of the buildings:

    100_9387.jpg

Here is a look at the lawnmower for which this tree I mean stump gets its name:

    100_9388.jpg

I am afraid that someday soon, this sign will be for sale on Ebay:

    100_9389.jpg

That's all I have of the marina area.

    For now.

From here, we travel to the Meadow Trading Post.

I saw something going on there on my way to the Settlement.

    So, I had to investigate.

    Right?

    Right!

Look, there are four work vans parked here.

    Four!:

    100_9390.jpg

    What is going on here?

There were four workers congregated around a pipe near the beginning of the sidewalk that leads to the 1200/1300 loops.

I casually walked over there to take a photo of the pool from this point:

    100_9391.jpg

    And the bridge, too:

    100_9392.jpg

And, then I snapped a photo of the workers. They had all been looking at me. Until I looked at them. Then they all tried to look busy studying the little pipe on the ground:

    100_9393.jpg

I have no idea what this pipe is for.

But, obviously, it must be for something important.

From here, it was back to site 2009 to get the girls up and going.

There are still more photos to come.

    TCD

  12. A girl spends some forced time away, due to packing for a move, and she misses the return of TCD. The horror and the guilt :P... and like so many others, I now must go rest my strained and weakened eyes, my caporal tunneled wrists, and my sprained mouse clicking-n-scrolling finger. 18 pages in an hour... but it sure was good fun! Glad to see you join the land of the fiends and so far I have greatly enjoyed the report!

All 18 pages in an hour?

No fair just looking at the pictures!

You have to go back and read all of the witty comments.

These will be on the final exam.

We had a two week vacation planned for this Halloween - we were going to come down with out new camper which has ample room for my latest duck tape creation (its a bit taller than the last) - but we had an unexpected family situation take over our lives(Im knocked up with Baby number 3 due October 22) so unfortunately no Halloween trip this year. We are definately going at least twice next year - aiming for April and Halloween (perhaps Christmas too if DH agrees). So glad you are here TCD - now new people will stop asking where you are!

First, congratulations on being knocked-up (I have to say you have quite a way with words).

Second, boo on your not coming this Halloween. If the baby comes on time, wouldn't you be out of the hospital by then?

    So what's the problem?

There's too much hostility here. Too many mean people. I am going to change my identity and go to Voldemort and join the thousands who joined since we left.

Don't forget the very rude comments, too.

Have fun back at the other place.

But, you are going to get lost among all of those new members.

What inordinate favor has been bestowed upon you! Only the most gifted and beautiful people are born on October 22! You are surely beloved of God.

    ShantaClausSm.png

Whose birthday is it on October 22?

    Bevis'?

    or

    Butthead's?

    TCD

  13. By special request, here are a few Rocky photos.

For anyone not in the know, Rocky is the TCD dog.

We have had him for just a year now.

He has been to the Fort three times.

He did not get to visit on this trip.

I love this dog, but he is a bit of a handful.

    As these photos will demonstrate.

    The story . . .

    Rocky's birthday is February 28th.

To celebrate, we took him to one of his favorite places.

    Honeymoon Island State Park.

    It's in Dunedin, Florida.

Which is also where the TCD gang lives.

We are blessed to have this beautiful beach less than a 15 minute drive from our home.

    So, we visit often.

We tried to take a nice photo of Rocky and his sisters:

    IMG_9699.jpg

    But Rocky had other ideas.

These next photos show Rocky grabbing my DD's camera case and taking off:

These photos pretty much tell you all you need to know about how old Rocky is doing.

    He's doing fine.

    He is a bit spirited.

But, he is also a real charmer:

Poor Rocky hasn't been to the Fort since our New Year's trip at the beginning of this year.

I am working on it, though.

Next up, we return to our trip report already in progress.

    TCD

  14. We have seen both, and agreed they are both great movies. We just saw Tangled a few weeks ago and all three loved it, even my oldest boy.

    Good.

    Glad to hear it.

And, I will be sure to watch Christmas Vacation again come Christmas time this year.

I haven't watched that movie in a long time. I don't remember the squirrel part at all.

I cant believe I missed this TR - Where was the Big announcement that TCD was here? We need a scrolling banner or something - there is so much going on these days - I can't keep up! Doodle - I love this little Whip smiley - Im not sure why. I have a screen shot of TCD's exit speech from Voldemort (at least Im pretty sure I still have it) but like TCD said - the past is the past - this place is so much better than the other anyway. Welcome home TCD!

    Thanks, Whip.

Somewhere along the line I think I saw mention of a visit by you and the crew being planned for Halloween. Is that correct?

If so, would be it be safe to assume that there will be a duct tape creation?

    I sure hope so!

    TCD

  15. I am, I am indeed! LOL Cornholio, huuuhhhh, hhuuuuuuhhh... he said corn... huuuhhuuuuh, and hole!

    ShantaClausSm.png

    Good Grief!

    What have I wrought?

Shanta, a man of deep thought, is now quoting Bevis and Butthead?

Are we talking about the food or the guy cleaning the site? I hope it is the food... :rofl2:

    Whoop!

    There it is!

I see you have not lost your touch for the one-line zinger.

    Very funny!

    You are the best!

So, I have been following along with this trip report and loving every moment of it. Of course earlier today I think I was getting a message from above that I really needed to work on my daughters' end of year progress reports, grades and attendance records because my internet service was annoyingly slow. So, now that our school year is officially over  I can read along and post replies. Now if Yahoo mail would just realize that a reply from TCD posting in his trip report is NOT SPAM then all would be right with the world.

Your school year is officially over?

Why is there only one dancing banana?

The end of the school year calls for more than one dancing banana!

TCD this is one he'll of a first TR here. I have always loved your reports with the gagillion pics. After reading all 17 pages I'm still looking for more.

    Thanks.

There is still more to come.

But, this trip report is getting awful long, isn't it?

    TCD

  16. TCD, I have followed along all this way, reading this great report when I should be "workin' for da man, as well as skipping out on all of the honey do's that my wife expects of me... But as I read along I feel as if there is something missing in the report...

We need to get a Rocky report.... Where is the official dog of the TCD clan?

    Thank you for your dedication.

We need more loyal Fiends like you!

    Stick it to the man.

And, you are right, this trip does need some Rocky pic's.

    Please stand by.

Hey TCD, after reading this post I realized it had been awhile since I checked on this project, so I did a little digging. It looks like they fired it back up, they resubitted in March and the ERP permit was issued on April 22, 2011. That means they are clear to get a construction permit, so everyone keep an eye out for it. I'm guessing all this permitting activity might mean things are going to start moving.

    WBI

    Well done!

I have been meaning to check on this, but, truthfully, after what I had seen at the Fort not just on this trip, but on some subsequent trips up to even earlier this month, I thought the project was put on the back burner.

But then you found the application for the new pavilion, and now this bit of news about the permit.

So, it looks like it is back on!

That means a lot more TCD investigative reports!

DAVE...PLEASE BE CONTENT WITH THE BISCUIT AND GRAVY PHOTOS! PLEASE DON'T PROVOKE HIM INTO RE-POSTING THE SAUSAGE PHOTO! PLEAAAASSSSEEEE!!! I'VE ONLY RECENTLY PURGED THE IMAGE FROM MY HEAD! :rofl2: (I can impose severe retaliation with a certain disco video... I'm a star, you're a star...) :rofl2:

Great installments TCD! Love the squirrels, not the truck ornamentation....nor the sticker explaining said ornamentation.

Don't listen to Dave. You have posted photos of Biscuits and gravy, sticky buns and oatmeal. Job well done. ;)

I never knew about the nautical flags spelling pirrhana in pool. Cool.

This reminds me of the Cold War.

    You have your SB video.

    I have my sausage photo.

Neither of us dare use these weapons, in fear of the horrible fallout.

I sure hope neither of us blinks.

    No sausage pictures. Please.

Nice pics of the horses - that is one place we will definitely go to this year - DD is due for a pony ride.

Bus from DHS? Yuck. We drove there in 5 min. I have to be honest, though, we had to meet someone at a certain time for a free pass so we didn't wanna be late.

I also am wondering where is Rocky?

What's wrong with the bus to Hollywood Studios?

I use it all the time.

But you are right, it could make you late.

That's two requests for a Rocky update.

    Please stand by.

Nice trip report. Glad to hear positives about 2000 loop as we may be in it July 4th if we change to tent site. Thanks for the pictures.

I personally was banned from the old place! Best thing that ever happened!

Well, you could also get a site on the 1500 loop.

Since y'all usually get a golf cart, don't worry about the 2000 loop. It really is fine.

As you know, the whole Fort is crazy on the 4th, so I doubt the 2000 loop will be any worse than the other loops.

    TCD

  17. Norm!

    EXCELLENT!

Your photos and your captions are great!

For anyone wondering whether or not Norm is an OK guy, you need look no further than the photo of Norm with his best friend.

If Zoey thinks Norm is a swell guy, then who am I to argue?

And as far as I can tell, Mrs. Troll likes him too.

As for our duel, my intent was for this to be a friendly competition. There will be no winner or loser. We will all win. I believe in giving a man his due, and you have already shown that you can write a great trip report.

    So, bring it Troll!

    TCD

  18. Sounds like the popular refrain from Beavis and Butthead cartoon. Or at least something close. :rofl2:

    cornholio_2.png

Ooops. I guess my memory had faded a bit. But I like the visual. :)

    Dag nab it!

I have no idea who or what Cornholio is.

I guess I was living under a rock when Bevis and Butthead were popular.

I did a little Google search on this ,and I did not like what I saw.

This is all your fault, Shanta.

That's what you get for the CORN HOLE chant.

    I hope you're happy.

    TCD

  19. And not much fun at "Where Dreams Come True" either.

    Couldn't resist.

    My apologies.

I have to get with the times!

I starting to think that there might be something a little more nefarious (sp?) going on here. Possibly, folks are targeting 617 as their one chance to gain fame in a TCD TR. Ingenious when you really think about it. :wiz:

    Crap on a spatula!

    You might be right!

    Am I getting played?

I thought your squirrel posts were Christmas Vacation references.

    My bad.

    Nope.

I was quoting Dug from UP!

    dug-up.jpg

Please tell me that you and the kids have seen it.

    If not, you must.

    Tangled too.

    TCD
