  1. Great TR, I found a good last minute deal on an October cruise out of Galveston on the Wonder. I plan to wear shorts to dinner, reserve chairs, and sneak int the concierge lounge. Unless my wife tells me not to.
  2. I missed the last few trip reports bit I'm on board for this one! We cruised on the Wonder a couple of years ago and loved it. Castaway Cay is awesome.
  3. Time to thaw out Walt so he can veto the beer, fire the guy in that weird portrait in new Fantasyland, and make sure the ewoks and jar jar never make it into a theme park!
  4. That's too crowded for me. We usually "eat around the world" at lunch, and there aren't nearly that many people. I do like how you and your daughters seem to go to a park to hit specific attractions, or plan to eat a particular type of food. I think we might try that next time.
  5. I have the same camp kitchen from Cabelas. It works really well and folds pretty flat. The toaster oven is a good idea. I think I'm gonna have to get me one of those. But here's a question: what do you use for refrigeration? Tater tots don't do well thawed.
  6. On our 2000 visit we opted for Blizzard beach instead, and before we knew it the doggone place was closed. A new and improved River Country would be awesome...way better than yet another hotel.
  7. The last time I remember the zip line was 1979. I don't know how long it lasted, but it was awesome. I also remember that there were places in the big pool that would occasionally have air bubbles rise to the surface. I guess it was supposed to be like a spring or something. Anyways, If you timed it correctly you could jump into the middle of the bubbles.
  8. You got some good nighttime photos. It's no fun to wait a long time for a boat ride, especially at 1am.
  9. I love your pictures. By the way, it is funny that your kids were in the cabins watching Disney Channel. When we used to stay in the cabins the first thing my kids would do is turn on the TV and channel surf until they found the "I Love Appliances" commercial that always seemed to be on. Don't even remember the company name.
  10. I just joined this board mainly because of your trip reports. Long ago I read your TRs from another place. I look forward to the continuation of this one as well.
  11. Great trip report. I had to read all the way to this point so I could comment on your post about doing cannon balls off the rocks at the old River Country. I also remember doing this as a kid. I also seem to remember that the was a zip line that was probably more dangerous than jumping off the rocks. I wondered if you remembered that too?
