Makes sense.  Sometimes the Fort is too much work!

That's awesome about Gabe.  Maybe he could go to an FSU game some time.  There's always plenty of Chop there.  Much more than I care for.

The Fort is worth the extra effort, but since we're going during the school year and this trip will be sandwiched between a lot of other activities for scouts and school I will embrace having less stuff to do for vacation. :)

I have thought the same thing.  Gabe would LOVE and FSU game.  He would also like the Gata chomp just not as much as the Tomahawk Chop.  You can never have too much chop.

You got the same spot for Fantasmic that we always have gotten.  Seriously, every time. I must have center seat repellent in my blood stream.  Great photos and reporting!  Thanks in advance for dragging this out until May.... if possible. :))

DIT's List Of Things That Are Gone And Thus I Cry

    1. Main Street Bakery Cinnamon Rolls (duh)
    2. Steak Fries With A GAG
    3. Wilderness Waffles at Roaring Forks
    4. Spectromagic
    5. If You Had Wings
    6. Aunt Polly's Ice Cream on Tom Sawyer Island
    7. Mr Toad
    8. 20k Leagues
    9. Petting Farm at the Fort
    10. Trams At The Fort
    11. Riding in the Front of a Monorail
    12. Longer Speedway
    13. Mission To Mars
    14. Golden Girls House
    15. Main Street Bakery Cinnamon Rolls

Except for Spectro.. I am right there with ya!

    Well done!

I would make a couple of changes.  Like I miss the totem poles and hammocks on the beach at the Fort more than the Golden Girls house and the longer Speedway.

And, I would have listed Main Street Bakery Cinnamon Rolls a few more times.

    Awesome.

Nothing wrong with that.  I love the All Stars.

You will, of course, at least need to pay a visit to the Fort.

At the risk of being lynched.  I am kinda looking forward to packing a simple suitcase or three, not having to clean out and prepare the camper, not having to cook and making the trip down in the comfy car vs the less comfy truck while saving a lot of gas money.

With that said, I'd still rather be at the Fort but this will be great.   The boys (yes, even G... PTL) like baseball and football and will definitely enjoy the theming BIG TIME!  On a very cute note and just to crow a little... G's progress has been astounding.  He will sit through an entire Braves game happily while joining in on all the crowd activities and loves the Tomahawk chop.  In fact,he gets a little confused and will shout CHOP!  Go GAMECOCKS! when he sees a bumper sticker on our way to Columbia.  :))  Sorry for being lengthy but I am so darn proud and happy. :)

Go Braves!  Go Gamecocks!  and GO GATA!  ;D

  4. And then there are the things that should be on that list like:

    Electrical Water Pageant

    Carousel of Progress

    The People Mover

    The Little Mermaid ride

    Hall of Presidents

    Country Bear Jamboree

    Stitch's Great Escape

    Swiss Family Tree House

    Tiki Room

Most of Epcot and half of DHS

    I'm giving AK a pass.

    Bite your tongue!

Do away with Captain E.O.  and Stitch!!  Good Lawd get rid of Stitch!!  Still love the classics.  and yes, we still climb the treehouse.  :))

If you liked 10,000 leagues, you should have seen it when it had 20,000.

    J/K

    What's 10,000 leagues among friends?

    TCD

:rofl2:   It really was something at 20,000 leagues.

Looking at the list, I was glad to see I had not lost my mind. Well at least not yet. I remembered riding Mission to Mars back on my first ever trip to Disney. I couldn't remember the name of it though. I had begun to doubt myself that I had even been on such a ride.

We didn't really care for it but I do still kinda miss  "If You Had Wings".  It was free back in the Individual ride ticket days and a family favorite.
