  1. Last I heard KFK and family had the plague.

Turns out it wasn't the ACTUAL Black Death but it was severe enough and we may have temporarily thought we'd die.  All of the KFK posse are alive and have resumed normal activities... except some of us still prefer not to eat much.   Well we prefer to eat much but it's a bad plan. anyhooo...

To the rest of you ignorers.....  keep you hands and arms inside the car. This thread will resume momentarily. Figuratively speaking.

  2.

Sidenote:  We go to the local library every couple weeks and the kids love it.  We checked out Mary Poppins for DD on our last visit and she just loves the movie.  She doesn't call it Mary Poppins though.  She calls it "Spoonful of Sugar."  She said the other day, "I wish I could have "Spoonful of Sugar" for a present someday daddy.

A girl after my own      That child needs her own Three Disc Collectors Edition on Blu Ray!!

(Gabe calls Madagascar "Move It Move It!"  I totally relate)  :)

    Great updates!!

  3. In all fairness, I think most of the SC fans were fans the whole time but just stayed quiet. Most of the Bama fans in GA just decided to jump on the bandwagon.

That would be more accurate. Gamecock Nation has been faithfully packing out the stadium going back to the 0-10 and 2-10 seasons.  We are a devoted people who now have a lot to be excited about. :))

  4. I am surprised by this photo.  Maybe you've posted a photo of KFM before.  But, this does not look like a lady who would hoard food wrappers.  Or be married to a guy with plaid pants.  It's kind of jarring.

    TCD

This was many years after the plaid pants.   She probably made the plaid pants.  She sported a few wild patterns in her day too and I may have photos to prove it.  Remember, she doesn't hoard, she lovingly saves sentimental mementos.  :))

  5. Mine came from CVS during Christmas.  I am sure it was a seasonal item so not sure if you'll have any luck.   Toys R Us also carried them during Christmas.

Different styles can be found but depending where.. they could be pricey.  Happy Hunting.

  6. Cats can be bribed. They will also follow a string. Somehow I think not that easy with your kids...

    You would be correct.

I am picturing you with a lasso and roping some Siamese.

    I should be so lucky.

We are big fans of Whispering Canyon, especially when they really crank things up.  The sarcastic responses when you ask for something are hilarious!  My brother asked for a Root Beer and received a half gallon mason jar full!  LOL.  My cousin asked for ketchup and the server took the ketchup bottles from nearly every table and gave them to my cousin asking.. "Is that enough for you?"  :))  Felt just like home. :rofl3:

It has been a very long time since I've been to WDW at Christmas so I especially love all the festive photos!  Great job!

  7. I cannot remember the name of this attraction at Hollywood Studios, (then MGM Studios or Disney Studios).

It was the one where they took volunteers and placed them in different TV shows etc..

KFM and I were in a 60's girl group.  Shooby dooby doo.

Another newspaper.. I love the mention of The Kids of The Kingdom and the long running show Disney World is Your World.  One of my favorite things....

    Dadgummit!

I knew I should have ignored this thread.

    And then I peeked.

    And saw this:

    newspaper_zps9d2e7b03.jpg

    Starbooty!

    Nooooooooo!

I tried to find the song on YouTube so the uninitiated could enjoy it.  But, I couldn't find it.  And, I didn't want to look too hard.

    TCD

    :rofl2:   x 100

    Viva Starbooty!

Just found this thread and am thoroughly enjoying ignoring it.  Love the big hair.  Mine was big back in the day but not that big!  You rocked it!

    Looking forward to ignoring more!

    Thanks Leslie!  Glad you're here!

I have ignored the thread too, it is absolutely wonderful!

    Thanks very much.

For TCD and other Starbooty fans:

Your fiend stock just went up in my book.  (not that it isn't already at a high level)

I wish you hadn't posted that.

And I really wish I hadn't clicked on it.

I can't believe this was performed in the Magic Kingdom.

But, I guess everyone was taking drugs in the '70's.

    TCD

If they weren't that song may have driven them to it.

    I expect no less.

I will stay on the ignoring bandwagon but I did have 2 thoughts.

    1. That newspaper was put out 2 months before I was born.

    2. The hair...oh my. That is big.....and awesome.

    1.  Shut up Todd.

    2.  Thank you.

Surprisingly, I had never heard of Starbooty so I was curious...

Curiosity isn't a sin, but I should have exercised some caution...

Is it really much worse than Captain EO?

They are called Imagineers... and only an imagination on drugs would have that was worth seeing.

Not sure anything is worse than Capt. EO.

Curiosity killed the cat but nt this case it has just scarred your brain for life.

You should always use caution when Googling something mentioned here.   :rofl2:

I've spent the better part of the past 3 years removing that song from my memory. Thanks so much YC.

If it hadn't been Yensid... it would have been me.

That's what you get for ignoring me.   :raspberry2:

At least I didn't post this..

  9. If I wasn't ignoring I would say Love the Big Hair!!!!

The bigger the better.  At least back then.  :))

I never realized The Breakfast Club was filmed on Bay Lake!

    :Good one.  LOL!

    HAIR!

    BIG 80's HAIR!

    Very.

What Big Hair you have ...

The only Mullet I want to see - If I wasn't ignoring it

    issue_320.jpg

Now wait a minute.  I have been accused of a lot of things before but wearing a mullet has never been one of them.

If I were not ignoring this I would say that I hope Kimmie is 100% alive again very soon!  :bighug:

I would also say that you ROCKED the 80s hair!!

I am coming to life... around 80%.   Thank you very much. That was my "I should totally be the girl in the Whitesnake video!  My hair is much more awesome than hers!" phase. I wish it would come back in style as my hair has changed and I would n't need much effort to make it huge.  :rofl2:

The BIG Hair and are those acid washed denim clothing pieces?

     Yes.  Yes they are.

Omigosh!!  Marty was right!  There is an easier way to copy from FB instead of what I was doing!  :jumpforjoy!

I am so excited about our trip and since this thing is not gonna die anyway...

I may as well post a few WWW photos.  Or a lot.. whatever.

This is the full moon on night one in Daytona.  Nicki, Loretta, Marty and me.

    Imagine that.  :))
