I was one of the first LIKES a few months ago!!! Curt we really had a great time in November and your service is top notch! Looking forward to February! I have shared on FB several times but now I feel like I am letting the secret of the Fort out of the bag. If we turn too many people into Fort Lovers it will be that much harder to get reservations.

  A.M. ?!?!? :panic: How are y'all getting to the Fort from the train station?
  I am not sure what H's schedule will be right now or how my morning of departure will play out so I can't commit to taking the train at this point. If H is working I'll have to take the kiddos to school and then head out. If he is not working my options will be open.

  ETA: The gas vs. train ticket costs are very very comparable. H says if the scheduling works out... I should go for it!!!!
  

Gas price and I was looking at renting a car so I did n't have to put the miles on my van, it is a much better deal to take the train. Plus we can sleep on the way there so we are rested and not tired and then sleep it off on the way back LOL. If there are 3 of to share the driving we can still look into that too. I'll do what ever, I haven't bought the tickets for the train yet. As far as getting to the Fort we could split a cab if needed or I was thinking of asking my friend to pick us up. Or if anybody is in the area headed to the Fort maybe we could beg a ride from them LOL!

Kim, the train leaves at 1.44 AM from Columbia and arrives in Orlando at 10.30 or so. I have to pick Marty up somewhere along the way and I figured the train would be easier than driving and it gives us more time there then if I drove. It's about $126 round trip from there. Now if we could talk Gwen into making that trip.....

Nikki, good luck at the doctors. I hope you have the answers you need soon and we get to see you at WWW!!

There was talk about going to MK one day to see the Fantasy Land. Any idea which day you have in mind?

Kim how far are you from Columbia? I asked Marty about the train, the price is really reasonable. Driving may still be a possibility and if we do I will let you know. I am starting to worry about being carless while there, but the idea of the train and no worries about the drive sound soooo good.

Marty, I started buying the $1 warmer packs. break it and put it in your gloves or pockets to keep your hands warm for up to 6 hours. May come in handy.

Julia and Gwen. I just looked into the train and I liked the fares! I could start in High Point and go to Cary to pick it up but I am still working that night and I will be driving South to pick Marty up along the way. Taking the train will give us almost 4 whole days instead of 3. Gwen we would have to check, but if this is the auto train, it has a smoking car, plus you can get off and smoke at each of the stops. You can get up and walk around almost as much as you want! Most of our trip will be late so we should be sleeping for much of it. Right now the plan is leaving Columbia at 1.44 AM on Friday morning arriving in Orlando at 10.30 AM or so. We leave Monday evening at 7.40 PM and arrive back in Columbia at 4 AM or so. Columbia is a 3 hour drive for me. It would take longer to take the train from HP to Cary and then Columbia.

My packing has begun!! and I plan to purchase the train ticket in a couple of weeks...next pay check.

Looks like something planned for Valentines day /(week). WWW and Valentines may collide. Hoping for some special magic.

Marty whatever it is, please remember we need to get it there. Me and chocolate...uhm...may not make it to the rest of the ladies LOL!

We leave tonight o sail on Liberty of the Seas tomorrow, Nov 29th. We are doing the same cruise but no stop in Belize. Let you know how it is when we get back.

We like Royal Caribbean. We've sailed on the Freedom of the Seas and also the Liberty of the Seas, and LOVED both of them!

The cruise I have picked is on The Liberty of the Seas, it looks fantastic. Sent Roz an email.

when are you thinking of going? Dave and I talked about the same thing, and like you I'm torn on the kid thing.. But if ANOTHER couple were to go .. sans kids.. it would almost be like an adult outing.. wouldn't it? :D

I just finished Book 1 of The Kingdom Keepers Series and loved it!! You're right about the Robot world.

Had our first sandwiches at the Earl on this last trip and we all loved our choices and will go again. Between us we tried 8 of their choices.

I hated the Birthday Castle back then and seeing it again doesn't change my opinion, ugh!
