This looks cool... Sorry about Baskin Robbins... that sure doesn't sound like a profitable franchise or customer orientated one... out of milk... with a grocery store in the plaza... hmmmm

I'm in... We always take our trailer or fly... but I've often wondered about this train.

Wow that Rick guy must have really partied that day. I looked up Chablis. I'm not sure if you should hang with that guy. Be careful TCD....
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia:
Chablis is a town and commune in the Yonne department in Burgundy in north-central France.
It lies in the valley of the River Serein.
Why would you to want to be in France instead of at the Florida Football Rivalry of the year, while hanging with the TCD family! With food and beverages as an added bonus. He may be a hippie... :rofl3:

I'm all caught up, and would like to point out that skirt guy was feeling all tacticool... He was actually wearing a 5.11 tactical kilt. I sure as hell would never wear one, but apparently people do. The link says when they're gone you cannot order more. Probably not a great idea for the 5.11 line. :hah:

I'm finally all caught up! I'm having fun with the trip report, so you must of had a real blast. I just caught BBS on Direct TV. They had an hour performance on their concert channel. I really enjoyed their music ! I probably would not have watched them if I hadn't heard your recommendation in previous reports.... And finally BACON.... :drool1:

Nothing but a big Maglite, flip-flops, and Flintstones boxers shining in the spotlight in the middle of a dirt road.
I would "feel " for you but my arms are holding my sides and the tears make it blurry... :rofl2: x 1000 Make it stop my sides hurt...

Hey, I'm here and caught up... Had to go out of town for 3 days and was stuck at a Hilton... I just refuse to pay 14.00 for internet and I have to pay to park my vehicle too.... I am always amazed how they nickel and dime you to death... Even Disney is better than them...

Gettysburg Planning for scouts - mid April

Dan,
I can only comment on my experience with Francis Slocum. We tried to stay there once. We got to the site opened the truck doors and in like 2 minutes had about 20 mosquito bites. My daughter was 8 at the time and had about 30 bites. I actually threw her in the truck and went back to the check - in station. The lady at the check in station stated that it was unusual but that they had other complaints and the mosquitoes were bad that year. We ended up moving our reservation to Promised Land State Park. It is a few miles off I 84 and still close to Scranton. I would recommend you stay there with the scouts. It is my favorite park in Northeast PA. Lots of sites, two lakes, plenty of trails, and the lake store sells ice cream. You will love Promised Land.
