i got to shut the dehydrator off early this morning.. yay! that means it kept running. lol

i filled all the trays with chicken. should be enough treats for about 2-3 weeks. (yeah, right!)

i see some motion sickness happening on that bus.. :barf:

number 2 is up and running... let's see if we make it through the night. lol

they love it. but, a couple pieces of chicken doesn't go far. i am gonna have to make 3 lbs at a time to make it worth while.. lol

i will take it back this weekend. not sure if i will get another nesco. although, someone at work said if they are going to break down-he's heard it will happen right away.

so, i set up the dehydrator w/the chicken. statrted it at 5 ish-checked on it before i went to bed. the dogs couldn't get their noses high enough. smelled good-looked good. might of been done but, i figured i would leave it on over nite. got up this morning and the dehydrator was off...the chicken was done-i baked it 1/2 hr in the oven at 165 after.

then i checked the outlet-good. i plugged the dehydrator into another outlet - nothing. so, it will be going back this weekend.

great tr so far! i could actually feel the excitement at check in! can't wait for more....

i read that when you cut the meat that if you cut it slightly frozen it is easier to get the thin slices. i think it worked really good for the chicken breasts. maybe i will have to use my seal thing - that i never use to keep it in.

i was reading that you can store jerky in the freezer? will it get soft? i am trying chicken tonight. w/o seasoning for the pups.. :)

loving the tr... looks like it was a barrel of fun! haha.... glad the shoe situation got figured out- lorna. they probably really closed the balloon ride downtown because they knew ya'll were in town and wanting to go on it! :)

Just got a dehydrator and want to make some stuff for the pups. So, who has the recipes for chicken jerky, beef jerky, fruits or whatever.

Mostly looking for dog treats. But, we can have some, too. :)

not sure what to say--but, sorry you guys are going through all this. i know i would be going crazy. good luck with the repairs. praying for the best...

a friend is planning a trip with extended family. she was wondering what they got at that time. i have no idea-i don't pay attention to anything other than fort stuff. :)

that's kind of cool, annie. the problem i have with making my pages is that i am inspired by the photos i am putting on them. without a photo i am lost. it is a neat idea. the pages you have done are awesome.

Some up here would rather spend every weekend in the bar than take a family vacation. It is what it is.... I spend my mula the way I want and don't really care how you spend yours. Just sad for some..

i can't wait until spring. the garage is full and ready for a rummage. it will probably be an on-going rummage through out the summer. i will just keep the tables set up and when i can have it - it'll be open. even if i only sell a little bit a day... it's less stuff and more money in my pocket. :)

i saw that it can help heal wounds... smells good and the pups eat it straight up. kind of makes you wonder how you can put it on a wound on them and not have them lick it off.. lol
