i got it SCAL! i played around with it last weekend. so many things to cut out now. lol i can't believe how much free stuff there is out there. i thought i would be looking around for hours to find it. i got 2 (for cricut) and 3 (for other cutters). that way if something happens and i am not happy with provocraft i can get another cutter.

i also downloaded inkscape. but, haven't played with that, yet. very happy i decided to grab it. i ended up buying it through www.craftedge.com . i have my bichon bash this weekend, after that i am all scrappin'! :banana:

jobs are definitely still scary. i have a different attitude. i can loose my job but, they are not taking away the one thing that makes me happy-going to disney. some how, some way i will get one trip a year in. rummage sales, selling on craigslist and even donating plasma to get some money. i will get there. lol

a rcpt is what i am thinking... you would definitely have to ask. my dogs aren't boarded either. but, because once a year we have all these dogs come to the bash, i like to know they are protected.

plus, with traveling in the mh--we do stop at rest areas where other dogs/animals roam and you never know what they may have carried into the area. we also take them to pet stores and to campgrounds. you just never know where they could pick something up.

last year the boys got fleas. we had no idea how. until we thought about the rabbits coming into our yard. hopefully, i saved someone a few bucks... :)

so, Drs Foster and Smith is located in Wisconsin. It is a pet supply company. I was on their website and found the kennel cough vaccine. You don't need a Rx from the vet to order it. I run a Bichon Bash that we have about 60 Bichons come to our house and raise money for Rescue. So, I like to have my dogs protected. The vaccine was $2.99 for each individual dose. Wisconsin s/h was only $5.99.

They do charge more for out of state s/h. It needs to be sent overnight or something like that.

But, the last time I got the vaccine for the dogs at the vet each dog was $45 (I don't believe there was a charge for office visit). This is a nasal vaccine-no shots. You can order larger doses but, I wanted to make sure I was giving them the correct amount so, I did the single dose. The package was here in 2 days and had a couple ice packs on it. There were 2 bottles for each dose. You just mixed the liquid with the powder, shake it up and squirt it in their nose.

The hardest part was holding their heads still. :parrot: yeah, they kind of looked like this. lol

I know if you board your dogs they need this. I am not sure if they will accept a rcpt to show for proof but, it may save you some money. Check them out at: Drs foster and smith

I will do this again next year. My total was $19 vs the vet at $180.

i know rog used gimp and i thought jen had, too. i am just trying to modify the shirts. i have no idea how to create one. but, i do need to learn how to do that,too. :)

ok-i downloaded "gimp". i figured out how to get the images there. but, i have no idea how to change the wording on images.

are you using gimp? i want to try to make some myself. i would also like to try to do the vinyl shirt designs. i have no idea how to make those.

i like that price..  when they say not to run any updates (like when provocraft wins the lawsuit), do they mean updates for cricut?  will you still be able to go to sites and get pictures of something else to cut.  i am confused about that part.  i know piratejeff uses scal and i am waiting to see what he has to say.

i am afraid i will get it and be told not to update anything and i will want to cut something i find.  down load it and ruin the program.. lol

the cricut craft room isn't anything great.  you can design with any cartridges (even ones you don't own) but, again, you can only cut with the ones you own.  just like cds.  they are trying to fool everyone into thinking they are doing something great for us.  i don't see it as a benefit to me.

does anyone have SCAL for a decent price.  i am not going to buy the gypsy-even though it is getting to be a better price.  i don't think i want to give them anymore money...

i know everyone out there is doing something to save money.  with the rising cost of fuel and food what are you doing different to keep from spending extra money.

i know we went to wally world yesterday and i refuse to spend $4 on a 13 oz bag of chips.  it wasn't even a year ago i could buy a 17-20 oz bag for $2.50.  sorry, we are a chipless home now!  lol

i can't give up my soda...  so, we try to buy it ONLY when it is on sale.  i will also choke down sam's dr thunder once in a while.  it isn't horrible it's just not dr pepper. 

we do stay home a lot more and avoid menards...  too many temptations there.  :wiz:

you guys came up with some really good ideas.  we use our disney visa for everything also.  by the time we get to the fort our camping is paid for and we may have some extra left over for snacks.  :wiz:

tornadoes just went through st. louis last night.  i hope the area you plan to go didn't suffer much damage.  looks pretty bad, though. 

let's think about this...  you could cancel the cruise and come to the fort instead.  :rofl2:

All I can tell you is be persistent and cosistant.

the best words of advice for dog training.  :popo:  i tell people this all the time.  it won't happen over night.  my dogs will use potty pads in the house when it is extremely cold outside.  it is a good back up for when the weather gets bad.  try and make sure he goes 2x when you are outside or bring him in and take him right back out.  always expect 2 pees. lol :rofl2:
