  1. They took about 4 days to a week. I only worked on them in the evening watching tv usually no more then an 1 or 2 distracted hrs a day. If one was organized, bags cut, chained together, nicely rolled, solid idea in your head, not easily distracted (not me) maybe 6-8hrs maybe less.

  2. Those are great!  My crochet hooks are gathering dust in the closet.  Which website did you use for instructions?

I really dont remember. I searched how to make the plarn ( folding and cutting the bags into 1in strips making a ring then chaining them together). Then a search for free crochet bag patterns for the basic ideas. Im not so good at ffollowing directions so once I got the basic idea I kinda went off on my own. Still trying different size hooks stiches and what not.

  3. My aunt showed me a bag someone had given her crocheted out of plastic shopping bags. The first thing that popped in my head was that would be great for taking to the comfort station, pool, or beach. So I came home and after a couple failed attempts I decided to look it up online. Found instructions on how to make the bags into "plarn" and away I went. The first bag was given to a friend for her birthday before I thought to take pictures of it. So far I have completed 2 more bags, just working on them in the evenings while watching tv. Everyone thinks I'm crazy because I keep telling them save your bags for me.

Still trying to figure out the best and strongest way to make the handles and will be venturing off into different stitches and patterns for the next one.

  4. Lake Buena Vista Resort Village & Spa

We used to stay there every year the first week in December, was always nice and clean indoor hallways 2 pools ( one with a bar and snack ) and a pirate ship slide, restaurant and small store on property, not far from publix and 192 but not in the mess of it either. Next door to a small outlet mall but never seemed busy or crowded. Easy drive to the parks and I believe the also offer a shuttle but we never used that.

I believe they have 1,2,3, and 4 bedroom units with pull out sofas in the living rooms, nice size kitchens with ice makers, the first year we stayed we paid (if I remember correctly) 10-15.0 extra a night for a fireworks view room (which would have been great had when been at the condo and not in the parks for the fireworks).

Have not stayed there since Dec. 2012, as last year we stayed at the Fort. But I do know then that they were in the process of redoing some of their older rooms. Staff was always friendly and helpful.

My only tip would be if your driving and have multiple cars to request one of the buildings next to the ship pool behind the lobby building. These have parking around the as well as a parking garage under them. The other 2 buildings have very little parking in front and let me tell you unless you run out of the parks after the fireworks theres no getting a spot.

    Hope this helps

  5. Found these at K Mart today. 65% off brought them down to 10.49 battery operated LED light with auto on for 5 hours. Not sure they would be worth the 30.00 original price but for 10.49 could be a fun decoration. Only had these 2 at my local store not sure of any others they might have. <a href="http://s928.photobucket.com/user/cortezcapt82/media/Mobile%20Uploads/20140812_114749_zps5uxupycc.jpg.html" target="_blank"><img src="http://i928.photobucket.com/albums/ad126/cortezcapt82/Mobile%20Uploads/20140812_114749_zps5uxupycc.jpg" border="0" alt=" photo 20140812_114749_zps5uxupycc.jpg"/></a>.

  6. Having grown up on the gulf coast of Florida I have never known anyone who has had any sort of skin infection from this. I have been in everything from hot stagnant brackish water to warm salt water with plenty of cuts, scrapes and full on gashes and have never had a problem.

Where I grew up if you were out on the boat, at the beach, or just working around the water and hurt yourself, the answer always was "rinse it off in the salt water itll be fine till you get home". When you got home (later that day, night or next day) you dump some peroxide on It maybe a little betadine if you had some laying around.

How I made it to 32 I have no idea, I should have had this, been eaten by a shark, maimed on a playground or one of the hundreds of things that have been deemed unsafe or life threatening in the past 10 years.
