  1. OMG I laughed so hard. So if you see a silver tundra in the grass with a six pack on the bumper (for ftwilderness guy) you know we took your advice:)
  2. I hopeone o those is ours we come in on Wednesday. We are sso hoping for 1500.
  3. Wow, those are all great ideas. Thanks. SOOOO ftwilderness guy, what kinda of beer do you like?:)
  4. We are camping in a pop up. As you know, cant really lock a pop up. We will have some electronics and other valuables. Normally we are not concerned because campers are the best kind of people. But, because there are times that we might be gone all day, we have a little concern. We usually camp at state parks and not rv parks so not too familiar with the security issues. Does the Fort have lockers or lock boxes to rent? We could always put them in the car, but not sure about that do to the heat. Have any of yall ever had problems? What are your suggestions? We are area so excited. T
  5. OMG. Thank God no one was hurt. Looks like we are making yeat another purchase before we head to WDW.
  6. We are camping July 1 -12. MY hubby is attending a conferance in Orlando the week before and was wanting to drive through FW to get a look at the sites. We've downloaded the app and seen some great pics, thank you for that it is very helful. By driving through, he might help narrow down some sites for us. We are in a pop up and will also have a tent. We are hoping for loop 1500. We will also put out an awning and have a couple of ez ups. (I think we are bringing everything but the kitchen sink:)) Any good suggestions? We will have a crewmax truck and an escape. Figuring at least one ne
  7. This is great info. Thanks.I loke the idea of the drop cloths. So does it rain hard during the showers. And is it normal for every day? We will be there July 1-12. We dont gekt that much rain during the summer, but donget occassional summer storms with some strong winds. Is that whatbthe rains are like?
  8. I just recently bought an Igloo portable ice maker. It will make about 26 lbs of ice daily, but you do have to keep emptying to tray and refilling the water or it stops making ice. Once turned on, it will make a "light" batch, then drops ice about every 4 minutes. The tray fills about every hour, sometimes less. Surprising these little cubes last longer than my refrig ice maker. I like my drinks with alot of ice (spoiled that way), so its perfect. I got this ice maker from Samsclub for $99.00 Have taken it on at leSt one trip and it did well. We camp during Julymand August in Texas, so
  9. Ok, I know Im still a newbie, but what is a KTTW card? I just want to be sure I get one in case we need some comfort:) We dont really camp at RV parks, primarily state parks. I assume it is like an access code for the facilities? It would be great to use the magic bands for that purpose.
  10. Thank you so much for the info. Thanks for the info link. Don't know how I missed that. I must have searched incorrectly. Now all I have to do is give this info to my tech savvy hubby and kids and we should be good to go.
  11. After reading a few threads I'm a little confused regarding wifi service. Do all the loops have wifi ornot? What is the fee for service and do you need the modem and a wifi router. If no available wifi, then another option is using our phones. How is Verizon there? We were thinking about getting a hot spot, but I believe that will increase the data usage as well. Any suggestions or advice?
  12. Great, thanks Was hoping to have info sooner for our planning but this is such good info. We are so excited to come. I haven't been there before, but already wishing we lived closer so we could come more often.
  13. This is rally good infi. How far in advance do they put these out? We are camping July 2 thru 12th. I'm espescially interested in the 4th of July activities. Where can we get info on that?
  14. We are going to WDW and Fort Wilderness for the first time July 2, 2014. We are driving from Houston and camping in our pop-up. Any suggestions for camping around the Lake City area? Drive time to WDW from Houston is between 14 and 18 hours--we are hoping for only about a 4-6 hr drive to Fort Wilderness on the 2nd day of the trip. Good Sam club has Lake City Campground and Inn & Out, Has anyone camped at these parks? Any other suggestions?
