  1. Well we are half way through our time here and wanted to do a very quick update, but not a full on trip report by any means! I thought some of you had hyped the Fort too much, but wow is this place great! We have had time to ride around, hit the pool and do what we have wanted in the parks. I would say this is going well, hope the rest goes like the first half. Thanks again.

  2. I have gone to Fall Creek Falls at least once a year since I was born (38 years). IMO there is no better park in Tennessee. My 5th wheel is 30 ft and we generally stay in campground B or A. They both have full hook ups while E does not. E is the most secluded if water and electric only are ok. You will not run out of things to do. My family likes to hike from the nature center over the top of the falls and then down to the bottom. Great views and cold water to swim in at the base of the falls. There are great ranger programs and nightly softball games that are a blast. I would try to get sites 91-98 in B if I could.

  3. Hello all, another rookie question here. First thanks to all who responded to my loop question. I am hoping to get some more great suggestions for this question. We are traveling from Knoxville to the fort and are planning to stop over near The GA/FL state line. I would welcome any suggestions ya'll might have for campgrounds. Thanks!

  4. First thanks for all the advice! TCD, my guess is we will be going full speed in the parks and will only be at the Fort in the evening, so I don't know if being close to the pool is super important or not. They ride bikes and will enjoy getting to ride to places around the Fort. So I guess the moral of this story is just relax and request a few different sites. Can I ask for some specific sites from the experts. We are arriving the Wed after Memorial Day and staying for a week. I am a little nervous having never pulled more than 4 hours away from home, but hey it should be great! Ken, Auburn struck gold with their coach, hope Jones can turn UT around! Thanks again

  5. Hello all, long time lurker, new poster. My family is taking our first camping trip to the fort at the end of May, so I am looking at sites. We are in a 5th Wheel w/slide, 30 ft, and would like a quiet loop. We are staying in a premium loop and don't mind riding bikes around. From looking online (and fiend app!) it looks like the 800 or 900 loop would fit our needs. Am I thinking correctly? Thanks for all your advice!
