This is an old list I'm excerpting from Disney Food Blog, but I was wonder for those that have experience "winging it" for TS meals, what are your go to places that are the easiest to get into without an ADR?

We rarely do ADRs in general, but our go to is often a lounge where you can order off the full restaurant menu (check out the recent thread on The Wave). We've always had luck walking in to Trails End, and Disney Springs and Resort restaurants outside of MK/EP seem to always be pretty easy to get in. Although the exception for some Disney Springs places would be the weekends when it gets pretty busy in the evenings. I'd have to disagree with having The Plaza on this list or pretty much any TS in MK.  I've never, ever had any luck with a walkup at The Plaza - not even on a slow day.

It’s happened to all of us — you need some eats and have no advanced dining reservation (ADR) for a meal at Disney World. No matter if it’s on purpose or by accident, sometimes those nights you have to “wing it” can end in a loaf of bread and a jar of peanut butter from the Hess Station if you’re not prepared (speaking from experience!). DisneyFoodBlog readers have pulled together their suggestions for the best Disney World restaurants they count on when they’re starving and minus a reservation (thanks again for everyone who contributed)! Quick reminder, though, when Disney World’s busy, you’re probably going to have a wait everywhere. These might get you in a little quicker…

Most of the time we just use MDE a couple hours before we want to eat. We generally have no heavy park plans, so just pick whatever is available that we haven't experienced in awhile. The couple of hours allows us to get there.
