Camera for the water parks

Recommended Posts

After doing Typhoon Lagoon for the first time a couple of weeks ago, I kind of regret not taking more photos as my phone spent most of the day in the locker. I'm hoping to do a day at Blizzard Beach over labor day weekend, and am thinking about getting a  waterproof camera. Does anyone have any recommendations? I see myself using this mostly for the water parks and the community pool at home occasionally, so don't want anything too pricey.

I have a Olympus waterproof/shockproof point and shoot digital that I bought a few years ago.  I just use it for water related activities including kayaking and tubing.

Pricey is in the eye of the beholder...  Best Buy has some starting at $60 and a couple of Nikon's for less than $175.

Amazon has similarly priced ones.

I would stick with a name brand that has decent ratings.  You don't want to spend all day taking memorable photos just to find out they are all an out of focus, weird color mess.

Another option is a waterproof bag for your phone, but then you are shooting thru a thick piece of blurry plastic.

I have a water proof bag for my iphoneX. It works great.

I still can’t get pics to show up in my post, but this was taken with the bag on my phone.

This is what I bought. The only thing is it does get hot in the bag, so Don’t go crazy using it or keep it in there for a crazy long time.
