Our Most interesting camping trip..

Recommended Posts

This was what I could say was one our most interesting camping trips. It was at Assateague State Park in September of 2009 right after a nor'easter that the weather-people slightly underestimated (to say the least!). Our TT shook from side to side all night due to the wind, and this is what we woke up to!

No matter what the weather, it is a beautiful place to visit!.

they are.  we've been there and it is really a neat place to go.  they do a pony round up (in spring?) they auction off the babies to keep the population down on the island.  we went at christmas time and no one was there.  very cool pics - brings back good memories.

Are those . . . wild horses?

Yes. Assateague is a state park in Maryland where the wild horses roam the CG. They roam right through your campsite. You cannot pet them but you must lock all your food up because they will invite themselves to your food if they get the chance. The CG is right on the beach, a one of a kind!.
