Strange and frightening sounds may echo through the halls of the Ronald Reagan Presidential Museum and Library when D23 opens the Treasures of the Walt Disney Archives exhibit in July because D23 head Steven Clark revealed today a number of ghosts and artifacts from The Haunted Mansion will be included.

In a special episode of “Disney Geek”, a few grim grinning ghosts were shown off, including three of the Hitchhiking Ghosts formerly used in the finale of Walt Disney World’s Haunted Mansion.

Also part of the exhibit will be the classic Haunted Mansion bride, which hasn’t been seen since being replaced by a high-tech animated one, dubbed the “Black Widow Bride,” in 2006.

Tombstones replaced by the interactive queue will also be on display, including those honoring Imagineers Yale Gracey, Marc Davis, and Xavier “X” Atencio:

Here’s the full “Disney Geek” mini-episode featuring these and a few other artifacts that will be featured in the exhibit:

Similar Hitchhiking Ghosts were on display and sold at auction at the D23 Expo in August 2011:
