LORNADUCK 261
I know most of you on here are waaaaaaaay yonger than I am, but she was very much a part of my growing up years. For those of you who don't know who she was she was the very successful editor of Cosmopolitan Magazine. I ready it evey month and would get it the first day it came out. Did it have something to do with the WOMAN I AM TODAY.Hear me Roar, I am sure you all do when we camp together, for that matter I am sure the fiends who aren't camping with us can hear me no matter where they are LOL MicknMin...Holly and BradyBzLyn...Mo
BradyBzLyn...Mo 2,023
Ah, if I had a nickel for every issue of Cosmo I bought in my 20s...RIP HGB. You were definitely a trail blazer.
rdancemom... Pam 113
I have a hard time imagining her as old, much less departed. Growing up, she seemed like one of the most powerful woman on the planet. Perhaps she wasn't that young, even back then, but she sure wasn't the kind of woman I'd think of as old either.Occassionally I'll see an issue of Cosmo while in the checkout line (or in Starla's room) and I'm always struck by how much the magazine has changed over the years. Knowing that the magazine mirrors life for many, all I can say is "We've come a long way baby!" RIP Helen. We definitely heard your roar...LOL and yours too Lorna! :rotfl6:
