Thank you everyone for the helpful information. I think my boys would love the beach and exploring the city. We just got back from the fort in June and have another reservation over New Years and I just made a reservation for Halloween 2015. So I think they would enjoy something different. You made my decision easy. Thank you Fiends!!! Maybe I can sneak over to Disney for a day, since we have AP. I wonder how far that is?

Just wondring if anyone has ever camped at Anastasia State park? I have not heard much about it. Was thinking of going for a weekend trip towards the end of the summer. I think it should only be about 5 hours from Miami. I want something with a beach not so far away. We have camped in the Keys a lot, looking for something different.

We love loop 1800 if we want to have it a little more secluded. If we want to be closer to all the mix, pool store ect we love loop 900 also. It has the basketball and tetherball in the loop. Good luck...

We have another trip at the Fort planned the week over New years, lets see what happens then. We stayed in loop 900 in June I am going to try for loop 300 in December!!!! There will probably be weekend trips in between, that is to long to wait for the fort...lol. I keep trying to get the weekend over Halloween but no luck...

We faxed in our request for certain sites for our trip in the beginning of June. We received a call back right away. First time we have requested specific sites and it worked awesome!!!

I used that same number yesterday and faxed in some site requests and the called me back right away.They were very helpful. They let me know loops 1800 and 1900 will be closed all next week and upgraded us up to a premium site. Will be checking in tonight. These next to hours at work are going to go soooo slow. Then it is on the road to the Fort!!! 10 nights in paradise....

We have stayed at Stephen Fosters before. It was a beautiful park. Would like to go up around Christmas. I heard they have it beautifully decorated with lights.

We had already booked for June. Then got AAA, and called back and they honored it .Yay.....
