Leave it's nose alone.

A proper equipped truck should need no modifications. It should be a 3500 dully to haul the load.
Or a F-350 dually.

Every time this thread pops back up I have to go back to the pics.
That TC is a monster. There must have been some suspension mods, no?
I may over think stuff, researching helps but I come down to the truck sitting in front of me and the info on door post.
I took truck to CAT scale empty bed, full diesel tank. Weight shows had enough for camper plus. I wanted Airlift remote bags so I added them. Have the ford factory installed 5th wheel prep in bed, case I want to tow.

Couple years ago saw Disney ship go out while eating at a place called Fish Lips. Dolphins were breaching in it's wake. Neat.

Creepy but one of my favorite pictures, thank God for telephoto lens.

Look Ma, no oven. I love that they put the microwave where the potato storage usually is.
Very nice photos.
Microwave is the combo convection oven, another learning curve. Have one in house seldom use convection feature.

Hey John. Can you access the TC with the rear slide in or do you have to open it?
Got to open it, if I was young and skinner,I might be able to access with slide in, that is a negative, but we wanted a two seat sofa with foot rests.

In the 70's I had TC 4x4 Power wagon for hunting fishing camping & drove the beach at Island beach state park to surf fish. Life happened and I sold out. Now most my hunting is with a camera. The 70's been on my mind since I retired. My daughter renewed my interest with intro here. I've done a few photo safaris as I call it by car and F250 and thought how great would it be to be out before dawn waiting to grab some golden hour wildlife photos and after things settled down, get in camp make what ever, take a nap for the afternoon, sunset action. So being self contained I can drive NWLR, and other areas height permitting and continue enjoying retirement and life. We are blessed !I'm not trying to be a snot, I'm just wondering why you would choose a truck camper. They require a very heavy duty truck because of the bed weight, they present a very tall profile so lots of drag, and the space is smaller than most small trailers (even some pop-ups), and the floor is as high as a high line bus (i.e. lots of steps). I guess parking is a snap, tolls are cheaper, and ferry trips are no-sweat, but are there other reasons I'm overlooking?Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
F-350 also has a 5er prep package in case I or son in-law wanna Tow.

Seems I may be the Lone Ranger with all the towed campers, but here is my Lance 1172. Sold my last camper mid 70's. TC sure have changed.
Glad I drove it empty a couple weeks.
View of roof from my second floor bedroom.
