I new to FF also, As my names says I'm Beckers dad. Thanks for your service. Few decades ago found myself in Kunsan, ROK with 4th TAC fighter wing, less than a week after the USS Pueblo was hijacked. ROK coldest place and hottest place I was ever stationed. Welcome! ! !

Since Beckers outted me on a CC adventure here goes.

Typical NJ early Dec. weather, Nor'easter coming up the coast. DW, DF & I planned on leaving 0700 getting into SC first day.

Well, delayed till 0900 by blowing snow. Might as well snow throw, well found my news paper. Took 1/2 hr to unclog.

Still snowing, delayed leaving 1100. Well time to cancel SC motel and reserve NC room all online. Not to hijack to long, shorten story. Delay 1400. Gotta re-do snow throw plus do my older neighbor across the st. Well, found his newspaper, boy wet newspaper sure packs tight in auger and propeller. 'nother 30 min to clear. Time to cancel NC room and shoot for Emporia, VA room. Finally leave at 1500, still sleeting and winds blowing bay spray over the CBBT. Stop at motel go to Get CC, no card, had to get DW to use hers. Beckers found my CC next to laptop at home where I left it from all the cancels an reserving for a shorter days drive. This is just the beginning of a travel saga on this trip. I'll start a new post & Mimi can start her own Passport & plane tkts tale.
