Merry Christmas TCD and family.
-
Wait a second. We need to back up to your posting on rules and folding chairs. What is this?
- Pets (unless they are service animals, defined as any dog or miniature horse trained to do work or perform tasks for the benefit of an individual with a disability)
Miniature horse! WTFort! Who brings a miniature horse to a park? Who even uses a miniature horse as a service animal?

We have the same mugs and greatly enjoy them.
AAA is a must, agreed. We have only had one bad experience with using them.

It's fun how all these pictures evoke different emotions with all who follow along. They bring back memories of past trips, good or bad.
The uhal invasion is interesting. I know a lot of campers will drag these boxes in with their Christmas decorations overflowing from them. I wonder if that was the case in this situation and they were waiting until after Thanksgiving to unload?
BTW I still think "first page" bragging rights should be a thing.

Did I still make the first page? Late but caught up. Great trip so far.

On our last visit we had a Pro Pride hitch delivered to the Fort. It was supposed to have arrived at our home before we left but was delayed. We called the front desk at the Fort to warn them of the many AND heavy boxes due to arrive. We offered to be there to unload but they wouldn't hear of it. On delivery day we get a notice on the camper that there are many HEAVY boxes waiting for pick up. Each box must have weighed 50lbs each. We offered a tip for the inconvenience but again were turned down. We felt so bad for the CM who had to unload those boxes that day.

I am happy to hear it is staying open, even if just for a bit.
-
Maybe I missed it, but did you guys just camp in a central location and then drive to your destination of choice and back each day?
-
Thanks for the post. Always looking for an overnight stop on the way down and back from the Fort. They are open year round if anyone is interested.
-
Great information guys. Thanks for asking the question Doug.

This looks to be one fun filled trip. Great start and with ya as far as you take me. Oh the Poly!?! Ummm yes please!
-
All caught up. We have a very similar camper to yours. Ours has the bunkhouse in the back with an outside kitchen, Jaycos are so great and like you, we love traveling with it.
Pulling with kids can be so challenging. We have plans for Colorado next year and if that goes well then Yellowstone is next.
Great pictures and your children are so sweet. Good to see another home schooler on here btw. Hope your recovery is going well.

I have a friend who's family live in the Bahamas. According to them, they hardly saw any damage. They said it was mild compared to other storms they have had. Maybe they were asleep during the storm??

Yes you can use Laundrys GC at DS. Laudrys owns Rainforest Cafe and the T-Rex. You can also goto any of the places they own thats close by as well. I think one id just one Apopka Vineland.
Costco carries them for around 88 for 100.00 worth. They also own Yak and Yeti in AK as well. Here is a full list.
Thank you for this information!!

I tried it ONLINE this morning, and while I didn't hit submit, I was able to use a $5 gift card towards the purchase price of the Disney Gift Card. Maybe you can't directly trade one for another? Hopefully it was just a temporary thing of not being able to use the Target Gift card??
No it wasn't a temporary thing. Target has actually made an announcement saying you can no longer use Target Gift cards to purchase other gift cards. I was under the impression however that this didn't take effect until August of next year.

You can still use Target gift cards to buy Disney gift cards in the stores. Just not on line. At least, that is what I have read in multiple places.
I think you are right but have also read that this too will be going away next year.

I tried to purchase online and all went through but then I received an email saying there was a problem with my order and the order was cancelled. I have been able to purchase gift cards in the store but I also had a lot of other items in my cart.

On our last trip we lost 2, both my eldest sons and my husbands. They both were holding the little guys and taking them on and off rides so I think the bands snagged on something. Neither realized immediately as they had their arms full. Before the magic bands went missing they both had numerous close calls. After that we used little hair ties to secure the bands on everyone.

Can you redeem those earned points for Disney gift cards?
-
I just recentry earned a bunch of rewards points and used them to buy Target cards. Shortly there after I found sites stating Target is no longer allowing the use of their gift cards to purchase Disney cards!!. This really sticks as I have about $200 worth. What other deals like gift cards are out there? What advantage is there to having a Disney Visa, can you cash in points for Disney gift cards? What's the doller to point return rate? Also I see you can get Landry's gift cards, aren't there resturants at DS where I could use these?

Jason your so awesome!!
Glad we are in great hands.

Glad it's not broke but sad that your in pain and discomfort.

What an awesome picture. Bummer on the rain.

We visited twice last year. On both occasions I saw little children run straight into the road while playing at the playground by the dog park. The little buggers are fast and that playground is pretty close to the road.
