Is there are fiend on the scene who could run by the meadows and ask about firewood? All my searches are showing very old threads.

How cute would it be to have a Wilderness Explores Club at the Fort. Kids could go on scavenger hunts, build craft projects, do service projects, etc to earn badges. You save your badges and add to them on each trip. Along with the pool party where the kids play games, there could be Explorer Club meetings where something similar takes place. There could even be a meet and greet with the UP characters, or just have them at the camp fire with Chip and Dale. 

We are just camping at the Fort this year and have zero plans for Park visits. We have talked about doing this for years and are excited to just relax and enjoy the Fort. I know you used to be able to order wood from the meadows years ago but wasn't sure this was still an option? Anyone have an answer? Also how much wood do you get for how much $$$. 

I saw a video showing the new bypass and was really confused. It looks nice and will hopefully make thing flow nicer. Thanks for explaining this.

Last year I got a Double Chocolate Chip Frappachino from Starbucks. I was so excited to enjoy my drink while my husband took all the kids on a ride. That enjoyment came to an end with the paper straw. Within minutes it was soggy and I couldn't suck up the yumminess. Major fail, decided I would always carry my reusable straw after that.

Riverlink is such a pain in the rear. Sometimes you get the bill, 2 months later, other times nothing. When they first started the toll on the bridge, we crossed it numerous times and never received a bill. When we went to renew license plates, we found out there was this outstanding amount AND we were getting late fees. It took us a few months to get the late fees taken off and the original amout owed paid. SOOOO, if you do not receive a letter from Riverlink within a 2 month time frame, better call and see what the deal is.  

Where is the DVC thread for this topic? Not sure why, but I am having a hard time finding it.

We have camped in a travel trailer and now a motorhome. Our favorite loop was 900. We also put out a tent for the older boys along with our rig.

I am sure others will be along soon who also tent/pup camp.

Awwww you guys sure know how to make a gal feel welcomed 😄.

We stayed in 2100, site 2135 to be exact. Our MH is 32 feet with an additional few feet on back for an attached trailer. The sites are short and narrow but we fit. We also have a 5 person tent that we set up between the sites. We were definitely tight but it worked. The loop was really quiet and nicely decorated for Christmas. On a golf cart getting to the comfort station is a little tricky as there was not a spot to park a golf cart. We had a golfcart and visited parks almost everyday. My children enjoyed walking to the Meadows for hot chocolate and the path along the creek is great for walking your dog.

When we were there at Christmas the parking area was a nightmare. On numerous occasions we were almost hit by a cart going down the wrong paths. I actually like the new set up, much more organized. 

I can't handle crowds like that. I would have been in a bit of a panic. Beautiful pictures despite having to sneak over the heads of all the people.

I can't believe how nasty those windows were, that's disgusting. All the Christmas decorations is getting me super excited.

I am so glad you posted a TR, I love looking at your photos. What a great getaway. 

What date did you have in mind?

Total score on the walk ups. If I ride SW in the morning that song is stuck in my head ALL day, so we typically ride it late in the day lol. 

When doing trips to WDW rest days are a must.
