  1. I think this is your best bet in a long time too.  And all streaks eventually end.  Frankly, I'm surprised that the Gators still have this one left after all the damage that last guy did to the program.

I watched a bit of your game against Oklahoma, and all of the Gators first two games.  Your team is far superior to the Gators.  At least at this point in the season.  What I don't know is if Butch has it in him to coach y'all to a win in the Swamp.

    Go Gata.

We in Vol country know all too well what it's like to have damaging coaches.  I'm afraid we have a Zook on our hands right now but hope that's not the case.  He's talking about following the "analytics" and still backs up the call to kick a friggin field goal from the 6 inch line when you have 245 lb running back....ugggggh

Regardless it always seems that the Gators have a breakout game against us...like the ones we used to have against Georgia.

  2. Yes they did.

    It looked great on TV.

And, of course, y'all were winning for most of the game.

    Dang it.

If it makes you feel any better, this should be finally be the year that y'all will whoop the Gators.

I'm not so sure about that (neither is volnation)

We coach not to lose in big games.

I do think it will be an awesome game though, they just announced it's the 3:30 CBS game.

    Just like the old days

  3. I'll bet.

I hated to see y'all lose like that.

    Especially to that crybaby/hater Stoops.

We did too...weird that the OU fans were awesome and travel very well, but the OU players and coaches were @* (less than reputable)

Stoops and his team showed their lack of class, so I now have a big 12 team to root for that goes well with my NFL team...OK St Cowboys!

    He's 40!  He's a Man!!!

  4. While I can't speak on what it is like at Disney during a hurricane, I can tell you that CS was very accommodating for last minute cancellations due to inclement weather.  On September 25th, 2004 I was on the phone with them around midnight cancelling our honeymoon plans (the next day) due to hurricane Jeanne.  Full refund for everything.

We drove to Charleston, SC instead (the only place we could go from TN and avoid the storm) and stayed at the Governors House Inn for a few days.

    Not too shabby.

  5. Just as a matter of being polite, I always try to move on quickly when I know others are looking for a place.  So while the girls we're taking a potty break before moving on with our day I noticed a frazzled looking couple with I think three or four littles ones searching for a spot to sit while the rest of their crew continued to place their orders and bring food.  They looked like they might be about to have a minor crisis with food stacked on a tray and little ones squirming...  I caught moms attention and told her that we'd be going in just a few and that if she didn't mind hanging out with us for a couple of minutes they could have our table.  She thought that was a fine idea, and I checked my little good deed for the day off of the list.

This is awesome, thanks for being one of the "good guys"

  6. Reese on EE with the white knuckles shot for the win.

    Glad you finished the TR.

Glad I got to read it.  Reese is a very brave little girl.  Good going kiddo!

She is a good sport too (thankfully) as she is able to laugh at herself just as much as we did.  To hear her say "that was awesome" from the walk off the coaster to the pictures and then see the pictures...That!!!

Just caught the end of this!  Great trip!!

Yes... AK DOES seem hotter than any other park; we think that every time we're there!

Your youngest on the coasters... bless her heart.  Those are some priceless pictures :)

Yep... packing up is such a sad, sad day.  I'm already dreading it and we don't get back "home" for another couple of months!

Thanks for the report... great job!! :)

Ugggg, yea the packing up. Not a good thing at all.

We are in beach trip mode right now and the only good thing about packing up after that trip is that the next 3 Fort trips are booked

  7.  They will take your tickets, punch some keys to find out what you paid for them, take your information from your Drivers License, take some more money, and give you your Annual Passes.

Since I am el cheapo i have to ask this question.  If you purchase say 10-day tickets from an outside vendor -

    1) can you also upgrade those tickets? and

    2) If so, when disney is calculating how much more you owe them, do they know how much you paid for them from said outside vendor?

  8. Thank you for all the great advice and after a ton of discussion, we are attempting 3 trips next year, yikes...We booked Christmas 2016 this weekend and have decided to customize the trips to make them unique.  How exactly are we doing that?  Not sure but planning is half the fun.  I think we will definitely feel more freedom while we are there now due to the AP's which will open up some different dining options.

  9. Ok, first off, you are correct....the Karamel Shop absolutely puts crack in all of their caramel.

Secondly, good call on the Tonga Toast.  That's some good stuff.

Third....what is it about that Pocahontas that seems so familiar?  Her face looks more like some college girl selfie in Instagram than a Native American princess.

And finally.....this is a beautiful picture.

Thank you DIT...and yes, she had a familiar face to say the least.  She had dark hair, does that count as Native American now?

And this is less real than a mouse suit?   :lmao1:

    lol...much less

  10. Now that I'm retired and David can get out of work any time he wants, we won't go to the Fort for less than two weeks.  And, considering the $600 or so cost in fuel to get there, it only makes sense to stay longer instead of making more trips. So this fall we have 4 weeks reserved.  Then I hope to attend WWW 2016, and we hope to go back to the fort in the fall of 2016 for four more weeks.

Congrats on living the absolute dream :-)

    I read an article earlier this year on the 4 times that you must experience Disney;

    1) Kid

    2) Teen

    3) As a Parent

    4) As a grandparent

I love going as a parent and look forward to going with a larger gradybunch as a grandparent.  Completing the circle.

    Good stuff

  11. I agree completely, this is why we spread our trips out to every two-three years. we want each trip to feel sort of like the first time.

We also like to travel more to different places and want to head West in a couple years. When I was growing up we went to Colorado every summer from NJ for three to four weeks. I want to share that with the girls as well.

    Best Regards,

    Norm

    Absolutely...variety is the spice
