I'm sure the right TT will come along.
You may be able to get away with a smaller trailer than you think. When they are little, kids can easily share beds. As they get older, the oldest kids may opt out of family trips to stay with friends or grandparents. I have four kids and a stepson (who lived with us) and I know as the younger kids got too big to share a bed, the older ones were not always along anyway. I was always judging campers by how they held 7 adults size people. The truth is, we never ended up with more than 3 adult sized people at a time. There is 10 years between my oldest and youngest.
Now, even though I still have two kids at home, only DH and I go camping. The youngest, 18, wants nothing to do with it. Now, we just have to make room for the grandkids....
Thanks, we are going looking tomorrow. I am so excited! I would be so surprised if any of our kids ever opted out of a trip to WDW (they are all obsessed like my DH and I, LOL), but who knows! We thought about the idea of a tent behind the TT as well and that may be an option. Hoping we can get as close to our dream TT as possible though since we are planning ahead to the years when we ahve grandkids as well. :D

I've been looking...A LOT. I have found just a few models that may work for us, not much choice with the size we need and a lower weight. I am also having a hard time convincing my husband we can't get everything we want, but that we still want a TT. Wish me luck!

Yet another variant that I never considered. How cool would it be to stay at the Fort, then a couple of nights at another locale.
btw, I have a Keystone cougar xlite 29bhs. It's all about the floor plan, and this one just seemed to work for us. TT's are wide and varied, so enjoy the hunt.
I love that model you have, it would be perfect for us. Unfortunately, I am finding out that our Chevy express 3500 passenger van will not tow that much. I am not sure if we are going to be able to find something that will fit us and that we can tow.

Thanks!

That Jayco Hybrid looks great too. We don't mind things being a little tight.
If anyone sees or knows of anything else that might work please let me know, I am very thankful for all your help and knowledge.

Thanks for all your advice everyone. So, what do you think we should look for in a gross trailer weight? Do you think we can even find anything that will sleep all of us in that weight?

Thanks! I like that model. So you think our vehicle would be alright towing that?
This is what we were really in love with: http://www.lakeshore-rv.com/cf/shopmast/productdetailp.cfm?productid=2694
Is it too heavy?

Okay, did some research. Maximum trailer weight is 8,200lbs, GCWR is 14,000 lbs. GVW is 9,600.
It's not looking good is it? I am confused as to why the Maximum trailer weight plus the vehicle weight is higher than the GCWR.
We did buy the heavy duty towing package, does that make a difference?

Thanks so much! I am even more excited now. We have been drooling over travel trailers online all weekend.

We have always stayed in the cabins at FW but are now looking into buying a new or used travel trailer. We would like something that sleeps 10 or more and has an outside kitchen. We will be towing it with a 2009 Chevy Express. We have seen a few models online that we love, but know nothing about RV's and are looking for guidance. We would like to stay under $25,000 but may be willing to go up just a little. Any suggestions? We are a family of soon to be 9. Me, DH, DS 13, DS 11, DS 8, DS 5, DS 3, and DD 1. Baby #7 due in December.

Hello, new member here. We are longtime WDW lovers and huge fans of FW. We have stayed at FW several time in the cabins and are now looking into buying a travel trailer. We would want to spend the majority of our trip at FW of course, but maybe would like to stay 2 nights at the beginning or end of our trip at Pop, POR, or another resort. My question is: Would we be able to park our TT at the hotel while we are staying there? If not, any suggestions on where we could park it? We are looking at getting something big (30-35 ft) since we have a big family (baby #7 is on the way!). Thanks in advance for your help!
