A Shining New Era is Tiptoeing Nearer for the TCD Gang
Heidi-meetsTCD@TSM replied to Tri-Circle-D's topic in Trip Reports
I loved all of the photos of your room at Port Orleans Riverside. I love all of the details and thought that they added. Those are the things that make Disney special. I am excited to hear that we may be able to get extra FP's with extra bracelets. I have family members that have AP's, so am hoping the loophole you have discovered will last until our August trip! Thanks to everybody who has sent good wishes to my son! That is really nice and makes me feel good! Fiends are the BEST!!! Here are the details; my son was blessed with good genes and is quite an athlete. He was playing shortsto -

Wow!! I hop on FF today and see I have some major reading to do!!! YIPPEE!!! I have not one, but TWO TCD trip reports to win!! YAHOO!!! This is perfect timing, because sadly my youngest son who is due to graduate high school in 2 1/2 weeks, blew out his knee last week. It was/is a gruesome injury. He goes in tomorrow for a three hour surgery in an attempt to fix the damage. Now, I know what I will be doing to pass the time, read all about your latest adventures!!! I read a little bit of this one and saw that both twins have great internships this summer!! Congrats to them both! Very exciting -
Just for the record, the River Country panther was a great one, BUT I think you outdid yourself with the bat letter! That was awesome!! Its funny, because yesterday you posted about the packet you received in the mail and the Dumbo magnet and we received our packet, actually two packets in the mail today! Our magnets have the date to secure Fast passes and the date to do the on-line check in as well as the date that starts the vacation. We received two packets, because we have two reservations. One week at the All Star Music and one week at the Yacht Club. So, we scored TWO magnets!!! Woohoo

TCD, You have outdone yourself!! The bat letter was outrageous!! lol!! I was laughing so hard while I was reading it, I couldn't even speak. My husband kept asking me what was so funny. I ended up carrying the laptop over to him for him to read the letter for himself. We both laughed so hard, that as I type this, my sides ache!! Good times!! (I NEEDED a good laugh more than you can imagine. Saw my oncologist last Thursday and while I am sure all is well, it is always a stressful time waiting for all of the test results to come back.) "Congrats" on that high score!! Woohoo!!! Amazing!!! Plu

TCD, Thanks for the photo of the pin and goodie bag! I think it is awesome that Disney gave out FREE goodie bags and anything free from Disney is good! Having said that, I think they failed on the pin!! We have at least a couple thousand pins that we have accumulated over the years. I couldn't even venture a guess at how many thousands of pin trades we have done since 2001, but its a LOT! Anyway, last summer when we went to Disney my boys were not into the pin trading, but I still traded, trying to collect the newest set of cast member hidden Mickey pins. Since we have thousands of pins, I j

I am finally caught up! You mentioned getting an actual trading pin in your goodie bag from the Muppet event, but you didn't post a picture of it. I saw the "button" pin, but not the trading pin....I want to see it!! If you remember we are big pin traders! Seems like in your recent trip reports there doesn't seem to be much of a line for the new Ariel ride. is that just at night or has the rides popularity died down? I am just curious. I know the same ride out at Disney's California Adventure NEVER has a wait, morning, noon or night. I agree with Aaron that they should build a World of Colo

TCD, I have fallen behind on my reading. I am not caught up yet, but will leave a couple of comments now. I laughed out loud, over your "really cold" comment when you went on to say it was 50!!! I can only dream about temperatures in the 50's!! And tonight I hear that we are supposed to get more snow on Wednesday.....maybe a lot...UGH!!!! Just figured that I would throw this out there. My kids and I have used Magical Express four times. My husband has used it at least 10 times. Each time was very efficient. I remember one time, the only people on it, were my kids, Mom and myself. That was s

TCD, I am so excited that I can solve a mystery for the all knowing TCD!!! You said, "who the heck would even mail something from that mailbox anyway?" I am not exaggerating when I say that I have probably mailed 100's of postcards from that very box over the years!! I did stop some years back when they had a sign there that said there would be a "2 day delay" in mail service. Once that was posted, I started using either the mailbox at the Meadow Trading post or at the Outpost. I actually don't think that sign is even there anymore, but I still would be more inclined to use the outpost mail

Sounds like a great time in the Magic Kingdom. Sounds fun that you were able to walk on a couple rides in the evening. That would be nice if that continued! Getting woken up by the milkman and chip guy doesn't sound too fun! I remember one year when we were staying at the All Star Music we were on the back side of our building. Early in the morning and in the afternoon when we were taking a break and trying to have a snooze was when their truck with all of the clean towels/sheets/blankets would rattle in loudly for a delivery. After it rattled in, it would back up and we would be serenaded b

TCD, As always thanks for sharing your trip with us! Was it my imagination or were there far fewer photos of the TCD girls in this trip report? I hope they are not getting camera shy! lol! I know on our last trip, my boys were less than thrilled to keep having their pics taken. I just saw the above character hashtag today on Facebook. I have to admit, I didn't even realize it was a hashtag!! My thought was, "I wonder why they formed a tic tac toe board"!! I read they are doing another 24 hour day at the end of May and wondered if you and the twins would be going! Hoping it isn't too l

More photos!!! YIPPEE!!!!! We too, love that hidden Mickey on top of the roof. Not sure if you remember or not, but last winter my son who is in college and my Mom went down to Disney for a week. I had been inspired with you LOF (list of fun) from your cruise and did a list for my Mom and son. One of the things on the list was finding that Mickey. They could NOT find it! I remember I sent you a pm for specific directions on where it was located. You let me know and once I relayed the info to them, they found it. When we were there in August, we all made a point to see it! Very cool!! Also,
