  1. I just discovered this but maybe the rest of you already know about it. This guy took the loop music for fort wilderness and he added ambient sounds such as birds, the bus is going by, one of the bus loops announcements, the marina horns, a little bit of arcade and then the hay ride going by. It makes me so happy and it brings the fort right to me. I only wish it was longer. By the way this video is for the audio of it. It's not going to have a video of the fort but a stationary, simple photo as you listen to the music. https://youtu.be/HHIa2rPNUS8
  2. I think the answer is no but hopefully it doesn't hurt to ask. Can you watch the Fort Wilderness Resort TV channel on a mobile device? Also, does anyone who recently left the fort remember what channel that is on Disney TV? We just checked in and I can't find it.

  4. I thought you might be interested in this. I made a Fort Wilderness section in my Christmas Village and posted some pictures of it. https://flic.kr/s/aHskMbb1Uw Here's an overview of it. I hope you enjoy it if you take a look!
  5. I've given out Warren's contact address so much in the past week. :-) Sent from my HTC6435LVW using Tapatalk
  6. We just got our sign and had so many compliments on it! I just love it! Thank you, Warren!
  7. I would love it if they got wifi all around the Fort; it means webcams! And that is a big pick-me-up when I'm way from the Fort. :) I guess I'll have to try to get one of the cable modems. Ugh.
  8. The page comes up without any formatting and none of the links work. I've tried clearing cache and other browsers. I'm on a Windows 7 Home Premium laptop: tried with the latest Firefox, Chrome, and IE. Is this happening to anyone else?
  9. It worked out after awhile . An associate of his stepped in and got us a very nice cart . They brought it on Saturday evening. We totally understand that things get busy, but he never returned our phone calls in over a week. And we made the reservation months ahead. Not calling back isn't like him and that lack of service is what bothered us the most .
  10. It does! We walk out the back of the site, cross the street, and there's the gate! Absolutely perfect site!
  11. Quick note: we are so disappointed in Kenny of the golf cart rentals. We have been trying to reach him for days and he refuses to return our calls. When we asked if he'd rather not rent to us, we're told definitely not, he wants to rent us the cart. We also checked to make sure he's okay and that this isn't an emergency where he's unavailable. But here we are, after multiple phone calls, no cart and no idea what's going on. He's never been like this before and it's a shame.
  12. AND we got the site we requested! 548: right across from the dog park entrance but still privacy with trees around us. Thank you to the Fort Fiends app developers: that led me to picking this great site!
  13. I use the mobile hotspot on my phone ,but I would like good WiFi at the Fort so we could do a webcam!
  14. Definitely! We requested loop 500 so we right near the dog park. I picked out sites based on the FW Google Earth, the loop videos somewhere here made, and the Fort Fiends app! I sent in a request, but I know that won't do much. We're going to arrive early and hope to do what our friends Gary and Carol do: go check the loop for open sites we like and come back to ask for them. Based on the FF app, we're looking 548 and the ones next to it. We'll see! Ray, do you have a fort fiends sign?
  15. I'm excited about it too! :) 4 days until we leave!! 6 days until check in!
  16. I'll be glad when they just have wifi in the loops. We leave in a week (Yay!) and I was hoping they had updated the system like all the other resorts (and campgrounds where I've stayed). I wanted to do a webcam from the site.
  17. Just tried it on my phone (Android HTC Thunderbolt). The page came up but when I entered site numbers, it didn't do anything. I tried 3 different numbers -- ones that people said worked -- but hitting enter or the search glass didn't do anything.
  18. Here's an idea: when you feel it's ready, make a QR code for it and post it to the site. That way, people can scan it with smartphones and jump right there, making it easier. I haven't made one yet, but I researched it and QR codes are free and easy to make.
  19. I forgot to say, I also have to thank Disney/Fort Wilderness themselves. They were fantastic to me; I called them a few days ahead to let them know I was bringing in a big group. They were wonderful on the phone and then that night, security gave us a guy (Mark) who always made sure we got safely across the street & treated the guests & I fantastically! It made a huge part of the fantastic experience!
  20. This went up on ebay when I was at the Fort. My friend Gary and I teased each other the whole trip about outbidding each other, and then I asked if he won. :) If I had the money... MouseSurplus gets some great stuff, don't they? Shame for them that someone like John Stamos wasn't bidding (the way he bid and won the original Disneyland sign).
