We normally go at Thanksgiving and we pack for a range of temperatures (50-80 degrees). That means shorts and t-shirts to jeans, long sleeves, and coats. If it is breezy 55 can require a winter coat. Hoping you get warm weather.

What I said is true, but that doesn't mean politics doesn't dictate poor design. :)

My advice is to plan for two days at NASA. As for things on the way down, it will be cold. We try to make it south as quickly as possible.

We have used a heater in a tent at the Fort twice. Both times were at Thanksgiving. My wife didn't complain of being cold and we are hoping to do it again in 2014. Depending on the temp outside it won't be hot (because most tents are well ventilated), but will keep it warm and help with the dampness.

She is having a good time and does not want to go home.

I never want to leave either. Hope you guys have a great time together.

One thing you are guaranteed to get at Fort Fiends, differences of opinion (well except everyone loves the Fort). Hopefully you got some good information to help with your decision, and let us know how it went.

Ok, I was there last year for the week of Thanksgiving. I was also there the week after Thanksgiving. The week of Thanksgiving was not as bad as I expected. Middays are busiest, but parks are open later. Later evening was best for rides. Hit less popular/higher volum rides during the day. Example we would get FP for a ride then go see HOP. The week after crowds were down but hours were shorter too. Don't be afraid of Thanksgiving week but do know there will be lines.

Your brother must go to WDW a lot.  And he's always ahead of me in the bag check line. Tell him I said thanks a lot.

 

And if it's not him, it's a guy not from this land who tries to walk through with his fanny pack, and then has to be stopped, remove it, and open it for the rent-a-cop.
