I would be sure to have flashlights for the girls to go and come from the comfort stations or from other places around the fort after dark. You don't have to have them but there are very handy.

I'm having trouble orienting myself in the first photo. Where is Discovery Island? It must have been there since someone said there was a family living on it when Walt purchased the property.

I read the title and opened with one eye closed and much trepidation.

Leave it to Disney to figure out how to make you spend more money on an entrance ticket that the stupid people in most other entertainment venues tear in half. Well at Disney you get to keep the whole ticket and if you are cool you will buy a little bling to make it cool. :worship: :worship: :worship: All hail Disney Marketing

does that hill not block some of the view of the back stage area

Wow nice job. How does she climb up on that bed. I guess it is so high to give the storage space underneath. Nice tree mural. only thing I see she needs (beside book storage) is a desk lamp so she can work at night and not disturb roommate.

What is with the decimal point in the channel number? How do you tune to 7.1? is it just 71?

I'm with DIT on this one. I make a good slow cooker pot roast myself and it is soooo easy and for the price of one plate from Disney I can feed the whole family and have leftovers for sandwiches the next day.

I hope those boxes on their chest are A/Cs or at least fans. I can't imagine how hot it must be in those black outfits and helmets.

We were on 1603. It was a last minute trip for us I got a resi on the 23 for 25-27. We saw you talking to someone with your girls at the entrance of the 1700 loop Saturday. I looked everywhere except 100-200. Never thought you would be on a preferred site. But I do know you have to take what you can get unless you book way out. Still we did loop 100 and 200 at least once. Now that the cut through from 100 to marina area is blocked we just don't go around the 100 loop much.

I gues I should have refreashed the page to see the post.

http://entnemdept.ufl.edu/creatures/livestock/yellow_fly.htm Everything you ever wanted to know about yellow flies and more.
But to answer Annie here is an excerpt
"Flies are on the wing in Florida from March to November, although the peak season is April through June."
My experience is by end of June they thin out quite a bit.

Oh- I drive by there all the time, and I think that's the place that we donate stuff to (it's the Vietnam Veterans place-right?)
Congratulations to your wife- that is quite a find!

Yep thats the one. Thats how we first found the place (to make a donation)

That is awesome, Harold. So which shop was it?
TCD
It’s called Last Chance Thrift Store, it’s on the west side of US19N right before the entrance to Innisbrook. Be sure to get the 50% of coupon in the TBA magazine.

are you flippin it on ebay? :rofl2:
If Dumbo is worth 30k I guess I can start off at $500 but the buyer will have to pay shipping

Well I didn’t.
I never really thought about it until yesterday when I was looking at a map of Magic Kingdom and saw the railroad tracks go between the big round building and the building that you enter to ride SM. You actually go down through a tunnel under the railroad tracks and then come up into the actual Space Mountain building.
Don’t really know why I had the need to share this information. I guess it just amazes me that as long as I have been going to Disney and as many times as I have been in the parks I am always learning something new.

We were in the lounge at the land one time and ran into our next door neighbor. Surprised both of us, we talked often at home but neither of us knew the other was a pass holder or even interested in Disney at all. They had a soda fountain and snack stuff in the lounge and it overlooked a part of the living with the land ride.
I am really loving this thread.

Frankly I am amazed it has taken Disney this long to change this policy. Disney is so conscience of how fast people want to sue for any reason. I let my seven year-old go to your park on their own because your policy said they could and they got hurt. You now owe me $$$$$$. I still think they are on shaky ground. I sure don’t know any 14 year-olds I would feel comfortable supervising young kids on their own at a park. It baffles my mind (ok so that’s not hard to do) that Disney thought a 2nd grader should be able to go to a park on their own.

I always thought they were separate attractions too. But does that mean the HDR or hay ride or carriage rides are not part of FW.I wouldn't say that DI or River Country were considered to be part of Fort Wilderness. They were separate attractions with separate cost of admission.

Once again our members know more about Disney than Disney. Did Disney consider DI part of FW?

Disney should be able to use these to better police the pools and keep the freeloaders out. But will they?
Who owns this?

here's a youtube video that looks like what you described. I think I'll just keep camping in mine but I would love to have a friend with one of these.
