We found Florida.

It has been an uneventful ride so far. We are through Birmingham headed for Montgomery. Thought we might see some rain but the clouds are thinning and the sun is peeking in and out. Temperature 74 degrees. If I see anything interesting I'lll snap a few pictures.Very bumpy road sorry for any typo's.

Doodle, if you end up getting by my way at a good time, Holler!! I will be glad to meet y'all for a short visit along the way! I-10 exits from Mariana to Tallahassee would work for me! Y'all be safe!

Rita as much as want to stop and see you, I don't think it will happen. It's 12 hours to Lorna and Rich and I don't want to get there to late cause she has to work in the morning. 

We will just have to have an adventure over Halloween!

Good morning, all. One leg of this journey has ended and a new adventure has begun. I woke up at 5:30 central time and couldn't sleep anymore. So as quiet as little church mice Mike and I gathered our belongings and prepared to leave. Around 6 I woke Bob up not an easy task,. I looked in on Kathy but she was so sound asleep I couldn't bring myself to wake her........so Bob did. It was hard to say goodbye as it always is but we know we will see each other again.

Kathy and Bob thank you again for putting up with us. Love you guys more than you will ever know.

Temps this morning 63 with some patchy fog.

Look out Lorna here we come! 

Tonight we took Kathy out for her birthday dinner. And No it was not Red Lobster. Her day her choice. She picked O'Charley's. Good choice Wednesday is free pie night. I know you people like to see pood forn so here we go.

Bob was being shy.

We brought our pie home to have with our evening coffee. Life is good. :)

Ok, this is funny. We are all awake and all on our computers. Very quiet around here!  :rofl2:

One more thing. I am the only one awake at the moment. The rest of them are all snoring I mean sleeping. How they can sleep through the noise is amazing.   :rofl2:

Since Carol did such a great job with her pictures, I don't need to post mine but I do have one of the birthday girl I want to share.

Ok, I am as rested as I'm going to be so let's carry on. When we left off I was almost to Bob and Kathy's. With that said I thought I'd give y'all  (I'm in the south now so I guess I should speak the language) detailed directions to Bob's house. You know just in case anyone wants to visit before he sells the house.

I am sure you all know by now that we made it safely to Bob's. It has been a non-stop gab fest since 4 o'clock central time. Carol and Rick showed up not too long after we got here and we had a fantastic dinner and a fiendish visit. I will post pictures tomorrow so please stay tuned. It is taking all the energy I have left to just type this.

Oh and I want to say how proud i am of my fiend "kids". You behaved very well today!  :heartsmiley:

I love that show. Did they have any can koozies for sale? Some people collect match books or spoons. I collect can koozies.

I know I saw bottle koozies but I can't remember if they had them for cans.

Made it through Nashville. Easy peasy. The building by the water tower is American Archaeology, from American Pickers. It is a neat place to visit. The bad part is most of the stuff you watch them pick is not for sale. You can get all the touristy stuff though. You know....t-shirts, coffee mugs, bumper stickers. 

You think bob will have the monkey suite on from defeated creek?

We made it through Indiana with no problems and now we are here.

I thought they were stopping for Kathy's coffee.

No Lorna you have it all wrong, they are stopping at Bob's cause they knew they would get to see Rick and I this time!!!! :)  Bob's just got more room than we do (plus we will have a houseful soon). So don't feel so bad, it's MY turn to spend time with Ma!!!!

And I can't wait to see Carol and Rick again. It's been too long since I have heard a good Rick story!
