  1. congrats... I worked my butt off for 2 years to get over 200 post at the other place and still wasn't completley considered a fiend.  It will take me a while to get 100 so I guess I won't have the offical status here for a while.  Good job on 100!

The number of posts doesn't matter - Love of the Fort matters - I hereby designate you an official Fiend.

So starbuc71 needs a tag that says, "Designated Fiend" ... of course with position comes responsibility.  :D

  2. I love a nice juicy New York Strip.  Just knock its horns off, wiipes its ass and walk it across the grill.  That accompanied with a nice cold IPA (preferably Harpoon) and a bake potato from the grill.

Guess I will be firing up the grill in the monsoon we are having to cook dinner tonight.

I had gastric by-pass surgery and have to have a very tender steak cut into small small pieces.

Same here, I have trouble with over cooked meats.  But in the plus side I split a steak with my DD which saves $$$

Our family had a saying, "Knock off the horns & hoofs and run it by the fire".  :rofl2:

One T-Bone will feed Mom & I - she gets the filet and I get the strip :/

  3. Not that we've camped for a long time, BUT ... Crock Pot Roast; Hamburgers, hotdogs or steaks on the grill; Freeze on of your family's favorite 'One Pot' items (Chili, Spaghetti Sauce, Lasagna [pre-baked in an aluminum pan]; etc, and take them out and heat them up.  You get the idea - simple; minimal mess ...

  4. I make spreadsheets,...but there more guidelines, as to what park opens when, who has EMH's,....also if i have a ADR's I put them there too...I am at work, but I will try to attach my excel spreadsheet for you later tonight!

See my reference to the Christmas Trip.  PureTCrazy had everything on a spreadsheet - ADRs; EMH; Tours, etc.  She had so much crammed in making sure we got the most 'bang for the buck' that we HAD to have things printed out so we could keep track.  crazy-1.gif

  5. I like mine grilled; no tomato; brown mustard - not that chicken crap yellow stuff; real cheese - hold the fake 'American' cheese; just about anything else goes.  Bacon?  More, please.  Caramelized Onions?  Stack them up - You can even throw on some Onion Rings.  BBQ Sauce?  That works too.  Chili is ok - if it is spicy.  Warning - if I say it's spicy, that means it is hot enough to kill 99 44/100% of the people that try it flamethrower.gif ... etc.

  6. Bob made a list on the computer then prints it up when we need it.  He checks everything off as it is placed in his staging area, then crosses it off as it goes out the door into the camper.  He is anal, he has to be to make up for me being Adult ADD.  He keeps me grounded, thank God,

PureTCrazy is both anal and has DOCD (Disney OCD). Add in a dash of Scooge that wants to get the most 'bang for the buck', and it's pure hell to be around her when a Disney trip gets close.  Ask her about the 2010 Christmas trip if you don't believe me.  I even had to pull out the laptop and the wireless dongle to make changes to our ressies for our Marathon Weekend trip - and it was only 3 nights.  I sure hope someone has "The List" so I can keep her off the phone ...

  7. Hebrew Nationals; steamed in beer (it's all Granddad's fault - as PureTCrazy indicated); topped with Sloppy Joe mix, chopped onion and grilled hot peppers; dosed with a good splash of hot sauce ... all on a bun that has been smeared with butter and grilled.

I like hot dogs just about any way they can be cooked!  I even like them cold - right out of the package.

Right out of the package dredged through Onion Dip - who needs potato chips!
