  1. Yes...he is! But he didn't want to go when we went in June and he whined the entire time we were there!
  2. Thanks for all of the suggestions and help! I just don't want to look lonely out there at the Fort in my tent. lol I'm sure we won't be the only ones there with a tent but you never know. Since it's a last minute thing, there are no discounts on resort rooms for us at WDW and I refuse to stay at an offsite hotel. (heard too many bad things) (In fact, until last summer, I hadn't stayed in any hotel for 13 years...we always took our RV everywhere). I'll grab the electric blankets, a heater, fuzzy socks and we'll be fine then!
  3. Yep...just one night. lol And we won't get there until late anyway so we just need a place to crash. We'll be driving 16 hours so I figure we'll check in, fling up the tent, get comfy, and crash anyway!
  4. My whiney child (age 14) refuses to go. He's lost his pixie dust and said he's tired of Disney so he's staying home with the grandparents!
  5. My son is 7 so he'll be fine. And for one night...we'll survive. It's Disney, right? And that's all that matters! :)
  6. I'm too cheap to do one night in a cabin or resort! lol (and all the cabins are book then, too). This was a last minute trip since my husband has to be there for a conference so I just started planning it about 2 weeks ago. We were thinking electric blankets and a heater. We've only tent camped one other time and have always had the RV to fall back on. (Looks like we need to go RV shopping again!)
  7. It's been quite a bit since I last visited over here! We sold our RV and truck (tow vehicle) last January because we weren't camping much at all due to the kid's sports schedules. Well...to say we miss it very much is an understatement! We spent our vacation last summer at WL and just wasn't happy at all. We missed FW! So, we are coming down on Dec. 6-13th and at first we were going to tent camp the entire time and then decided we'd rent an RV. Only problem is the RV isn't available the first day we arrive (and I don't want to change my reservations and arrive a day later!) We are c
  8. Nice! Love the Jedi one! Sadly, I got so busy before our trip I forgot that the hubby shattered ours and he ended up in the trash. Didn't have time to make a new one! And hey, about the slide...whatever cools her and makes her happy!
  9. We left the "yapper" aka Yorkie at home...now just have to worry about our 2 legged kids! lol
  10. Ha! I bought an iPad case sewing pattern off Etsy..."easy pattern"....yeah...I can't even sew a rectangle without messing it up! And I attempted crocheting earlier this year...yeah, right...my mom learned it by watching YouTube and is now making my son a Lego blanket! Couldn't get my hands to coordinate enough to work the yarn and crochet hook!
  11. We like the premium loops, especially the 700 loop. It's right by the boat to Magic Kingdom (where we visit most).
  12. It's fun! (and a PITA at the same time) I'm making shirts for our Disney trip next week. I'm hopeful one of these days I can take a few basic sewing classes...I've love to just take a pattern and understand it and make something wonderful!
  13. Plus, I just like looking a the cute little Disney characters on the screen! :)
  14. LOL, Carol! I have a combo sewing/embroidery machine....a Brother Innovis 4000D and I can't sew! lol Embroidery I can do with my eyes closed but ask me to sew a pattern...NOPE, nada, nothing!
  15. How's it going with the Silhoutte? I'm still figuring things out...I can't figure out how to layer for the life of me! It might be the software though...I may need to look into MTC. Need to make shirts for Disney trip in 2 weeks! I was thinking of doing HTV because it would be quicker but now I think it will most like be embroidery designs.
  16. I'm really thinking we should go that way this time... Another question...any good overnight campgrounds near the FL line? That's where will will plan to stop at for the evening.
  17. Anyone travel either or both of those routes on the way to Disney? We usually go the I-77 route but a co-worker of hubby's says it would be better for us to go I-75....he says there are more places to stop, especially since we are traveling over 12 hours the first day (with a 4 and 12 year old!). We've only traveled that route from Cinci to Knoxville so not sure how the route is after that. Only bad thing I've heard about traveling I-75 is going thru/near Atlanta but we would be hitting it in the later afternoon on a Saturday. Leaving 2 weeks from today so just trying to figure out our routes!
  18. I'm late to the party as usual but wanted to say hope you're having a blast Doodle...keep the Fort warm for me! lol I'm headed that way in 2 weeks! :)
  19. and hopefully I'll be in the 700 loop and all set up by now! I'll need lots of ice and a fan or two to cool me off...this Northern gal is going to fry in the Sunshine but it's worth every minute! We just got back from a very short (and I mean the shortest stay ever!) at a local state park...got there last night...already home! lol No cell service, no TV channels, no pool due to thunderstorms and pouring rain, no electric due to power failure so we packed up and headed home! Was hoping for a relaxing weekend but didn't get it...so we'll hope for better days at Disney!
  20. I love it! It's almost the same as the Embird software that I use for embroidery in that several of the functions are used the same way so it's easy for me. There is still a lot I have to learn but I'm getting there. I was scared of it for the first 4 months...I just sat there starring at the box! :) I am in love with heat transfer vinyl! Can't wait to make some t's for our Disney vacation in July! :) You can take almost any jpeg and make something out of it! The FB group has a lot of info up the documents tab, too!
