  1. We used to always go 535 until we discovered Western Way. I agree with everyone else, go Western Way!
  2. Whoo hoo! I just booked June 10th - 15th in a premium site! I'm so excited! I haven't be to the Fort since last October...long past overdue! I decided to see if I could book a site using our DVC points and really didn't think I would be able to. I was so surprised when the CM gave me several dates to choose from. I can't wait! So will anyone else be there the 10th - 15th??? I'm hoping to meet some Fiends!
  3. My favorite is the 800 loop. However I am really picky. I want the outer part of the loop on the very back side. These sites back up to the dog walk area and a small creek. I even have one site in particular that is my favorite, but I doubt I'll ever be lucky enough to get it again. If I can't get the 800 loop, the 900 loop will do.
  4. I'm so glad that this is finally free for the iPhone. My daughter downloaded it about a month ago for her Droid, but when I tried to get it for my iPhone, they wanted $9.99 for it. Glad I waited!
  5. I actually got to see my little grandson take his first steps yesterday! They were visiting and my daughter had just walked out of the room. My son-in-law was holding my grandson's hands and he was facing me. I called his name, and he took a few steps still holding hands and then he let go and took two steps to me! I was so excited!!! The bad part was that my daughter missed seeing it. I ran to get her, but of course, the little stinker refused to do it again! I feel bad for her because she always seem to miss the "firsts." :rofl2:
  6. I remember TCD talking about going up on the balcony at Pioneer Hall and just thought he shimmied up one of the poles. Now that I see this picture, I'm thinking that maybe you can just walk out there if you are seated in the upper balcony inside. Is this true? Or is that something that used to be allowed that isn't anymore?
  7. I agree with Total Joker. I'll even say that its in the ladies room (not the men's room since Brady is female). :rofl2:
  8. Just want you to know that I LOVE this thread! I know absolutely nothing about the past of the Fort. We stayed in the cabins back in the 90's (before they were actually cabins...more like trailers), but I remember very little about the Fort...except that we hated the bus system (I think the routes were Chip & Dale). Our first camping trip was about 2 1/2 years ago and we've been addicted ever since! I love reading all about the history of the Fort!
  9. No, I know that isn't right. The background doesn't look like that area. I'm totally lost on this one.
  10. The gardens on the right when you are going toward the castle at Magic Kingdom? This one is driving me crazy!
  11. The background looks like it would be in Animal Kingdom, but I can't figure out where. My only other thought is Mama Melrose's at Hollywood Studios because it looks Italian.
  12. I hope the rumor is true! They stopped selling Fort merchandise right after we bought our motorhome. I would love to have some Fort stuff to decorate the MH.
  13. I know that Carol is right on this one! Cape May Buffet is one of my favorites!
  14. We have owned our DVC membership since 1996 and for most of those years I feel like we got our money's worth out of it. Now that we have the motorhome, our daughters and their families use it more than we do (which is fine with us) to go to the Hilton Head resort or to visit WDW. We've used points several times for the Fort and I feel like it is a good deal. I'll admit though that I would sell at least some of our points if I could get my husband to agree to it...he loves our DVC!!!
  15. On top of one of the cars that is used by one of the Streetmosphere groups at Disney's Hollywood Studios.
  16. I got another one today...this one was from Target! Can't wait to see who I hear from tomorrow!
  17. I knew there was a reason I liked him. Me November 3, 1956 Wow, my husband was born one day before you. His birthday is November 2, 1956.
  18. I got it from New York & Company, then from HSN, and then Disney. I'm sure I'll get more today. The funny thing is that I didn't think I've ever gotten email from New York & Co. or HSN.
  19. Which part of Georgia?? Conyers, just east of Atlanta.
  20. 50's is shorts weather for DH, but not me. I'm always cold, so I don't stop wearing jeans until it gets into the 80's.
  21. We live in Georgia, but are leaving for Connecticut tomorrow. I am dreading the cold weather! I just finished packing all my sweaters, jeans and coats. It's a good thing that I'm going to see my daughter or I would just say "forget it" and go to the Fort instead.
