  1. This was our first time seeing it. I guess if youre not a guest (or work there) you realy dont know about it. It was interesting and fun to watch. It was good meeting you too.
  2. Thanks for the compliment. And to everyone who has enjoyed my photos. I shoot allot of pics, everywhere I go I have my camera, but I am no expert. I take allot of pics to get that one good one. Even though photography is a hobby of mine, I still have allot to learn.
  3. No, they must have packed up and left after being caught in the act. I never did see them again. I dont know who was more embarrased, them or me.
  4. Ok, The Hyperspace Hoopla is what makes SWW. If you have never seen it, you must at least once. As I said earlier, the had it at the main stage this year and broadcast it live on the AI jumbo tron, which allowed more people to see it without trampling each other. We got a spot right up front, if you want a good spot, show up at least an hour and a half early. And if youre interested in watching the show, here is a link. http://youtu.be/Ps0ZV_Fut48 After the show, we headed over to Fantasmic. I never get tired of watching it. We were kind of late so ended up sitting on the f
  5. We got in line for the Stars of the Saga show. This is an interview type show, which is kind of boring, but the opening show is what we go for. The storm troopers do a slapstick style show at the begging. Not to mention its air conditioned in the theater, so we stayed for the whole show. After the show, we grabbed some dinner and got ready for the Hyperspace Hoopla. In years past, they held this at the stage next to Star Tours, but it was way too small. People were continualy getting hurt and you were packed in like sardines. This year, they put a stage in front of the Sorrcerer hat a
  6. I was highley dissapointed with the parade this year. They cut the route in half and it just went from the park entrance to the hat. It was jampacked. We found a good spot 2 hours prior. There are only 2 things we must do for SWW, the parade and Hyperspace Hoopla, so we wanted good seats. This spot was not as good as my super secret spot from years past, but I was still able to get some good shots. For those not familiar, the parade is made up of the 501st. This is a group of people who are star wars fanatics. They make all of thier own costumes. All of the storm troopers a
  7. The problem with doing a Live TR is finding time to reply to all of the replies. I have been neglecting it for a bit, but let me finish up this report then Ill get to the comments. Day 3 started out early. We were out the door by 0700 and at DHS by 0730. The park wasnt supposed to open until 0800, but when we arrived, the gates were allready opened and the ropes were allready dropped. No line at all for the turnstiles. When we got there, the imperials were allready controlling the park. We head straight to star tours to see how the line is. Zero wait. So we grab some fastpasses and walk on
  8. Allrighty then, Day two starts out with DW having school, which means I have more time to explore. I start out at the beach You ever notice how the sand is always so perfect at the beach? You ever wonder how it gets that way? Well, here is the answer.... This guy goes back and forth raking the sand into perfection. I head over to the old Tri Circle D ranch to see whats going on over there. These ponies came running to the fence when I rode up and started possing as if they wanted me to take thier pictures. There was also 3 trucks and trailers here, waiting on thier passangers I assume.
  9. Good, a fresh page. Still today...... I decide to head to another area I rarely get to. The cabins. While riding past the cabin pool area, I see they are refurbising it. There are construction vehicles all over the area and workers behind a green privacey fence. I find this interesting Im not sure if you can rent these or if they brought it with them, but its a novel idea to get around the fort. Since I do not get to the cabin area too often, I never did notice this "CM Area" before. I assume its Mousekeeping, but not sure. In the 2000 loop, I find this You can see it is securely cha
  10. Its time for the first installment. This is my first attempt at a live TR, so bear with me a bit. So, we arrived around 130 this afternoon and were #2 in lane 1. It was not that bad checking, just had a chatty CM that made it take a little longer than normal. We were able to get 50% our site which was great. We were assigned 411 in Jackwagon Run. This is our second time staying in the 400 and rather like it. 600 and 700 are still my favorite though. We get the site set up and the pixi dust started to fall, it only took me 10 min to set up the sattalite dish and get a good signal. We decided
  11. I should be here. The Hockey game starts at 1 and ussualy lasts a few hours, so Ill be at the site watching that. We avoided DHS like the plauge today. It was a mad house I heard. I did see pics of Bob Iger and George Lucas there though. We are going to attempt Sunday as our SWW day.
  12. I just spoke to 3B and she mentioned that. But we have water. If we didnt, we would be at 100%. Everytime we have stayed here (and thats allot) there has been some intteruption in the water supply. So far so good.....
  13. Well, we have arrived. We are all set up in site 411. All are welcome to stop by to see casa da Devore. If Im not around, Ill be out cruising the loops. I do not have a sign up, my stupid printer broke so I couldnt print one, but I do have my snarkies out grazing by the site marker and my Mickey Lamp Post with purple lite. Ill post some pics up later on. Right now relaxing before DW has to leave for work.
  14. The ride is basicaly the same as far as what happens. The "movie" part changed drasticly. I think its a major improvement over the old one, but also feel that after the coolnes wears off, it will be just star tours again. I rode it 6 times during the soft openings and feel I wont miss anything if I dont go back anytime soon. Ill wait for the crowds to die down to ride it again.
  15. I was just comming here to post that exact same thing. You beat me to it. Effective Tuesday, May 17, the online dining reservation system at www.disneyworld.com/dining will no longer allow guests to book more than one reservation for the same timeframe. If a guest attempts to book a reservation that conflicts with one they already have, a message will appear alerting the guest of an existing reservation. In order to confirm the new reservation, the guest must cancel the previous booking.
  16. I'm not there. I'm at work. Just wanted others to know in case they can go.
  17. 4th day in a row its been tested. If you can make it, go now. Beat the crowds of sww.
  18. See if I can describe this without too much info getting out..... There are 2 different launch scenes. The spy is an actual rider and is randomly selected (but always seems to be from the second row). The first planet you visit is then random, there are 3 different ones. But always rotates between the 3. The message is different each time and is switched between 3 different people. The final scene is also different each time. There are 3 different endings but always rotates between those 3. So each time you ride, you have a different launch, first planet, message, final planet for 54 different
  19. Just a heads up to all. It was opened today, and as far as I know, is still opened. I had to work today, so couldnt go. TCD (cant seem to figure out the multiqoute thingy) The ride is kind of them same, but you would have rode more than once, it is a different ride each time. We just wanted to experience the different scenarios. I also agree about next weekend. We are going to SWW on Sunday (checking into the Fort Friday the 20th) and was trying to plan our day and the biggest snag was ST2.0. Expected lines of 2 to 3 hours just didnt fit our plan. So now that we have our rides out of the way,
  20. Most of the themeing has not changed much. The que is still the basic que with an updated video and audio loop. The main changes were to the ride experience. The major being it is now in 3D. They did replace the workshop section of the que with a baggage handling area, hint: watch the luggage scanner while waiting in line. You will know when you see it. They pay homage to several other movies/attractions from around WDW (even a Capt EO reference). We went through 6 times and were still finding new things we didnt notice before.
  21. Let me start by saying, yes, I am a geek. A Disney Geek, A Star Wars Geek, and a Technology Geek. So when I got a text this morning telling me Star Tours 2.0 was open today, I dropped everything I was doing and raced over to DHS. We got there around 1100 and got in line. We managed to ride it 6 times between 1100 and 1500. I would still be there if my DW didnt get so sick from 3D shows. She was a trooper though and allowed me to ride 6 times. We had 5 different sequences. The first 2 were identicle and we were getting a little worried that we may have just the one, but on ride 3, it was comple
  22. With the release of the new Pirates of the Carbian movie next week, I thought Id share this video. It is funny, but if youre easily offended, you may want to skip this. It is Disney related (sort of), so its kind of fitting here. http://youtu.be/GI6CfKcMhjY
  23. Its good to have you back. The place would be the same without your reports. I have read every page, a little late start albeit, but enjoyed every one of them. I have been to honeymoon island a few times and had no idea you frequent it. Ill have to be on the look out next time we venture over that way. I was going to do a trip report of our visit next week, but now am a bit gun shy. Ill never be able to compete with this monster and am way too old to be hacking my way through the back woods of the Fort to find the rails, so Im glad you took the bullet for us and showed us a piece of history.
  24. According to the GA DOT website: The following vehicles may use HOV Lanes: Vehicles with two or more (living and not pre-infant) persons. Emergency Vehicles (Law Enforcement, Fire, Emergency Medical) re a Motorcycles Buses Alternative Fuel vehicles properly licensed with an AF license plate No mention on them being restricted or allowed. I will say to watch the signs and be aware of the rules of the road for the area you are in. Every state and county are different and will affect weather youre allowed to use them or not. For example, some have weight restrictions, some have axel restrictio
  25. So what do you get when you combine a peep and a s?more? a shmeep maybe? Whatever you want to call them, they are good, and I am not fond of peeps. I do like marshmallows, but peeps? You have to admit they are kind of gross, and a little odd. But peeps are so freakin cute, and no Easter basket would be complete without them. So here is the perfect quick and easy recipe to use up leftover peeps. Just add chocolate bars and graham crackers to the kid?s Easter baskets and you?ll be set! Peeps S?mores for Easter Ingredients ?peeps ?hershey?s chocolate squares ?graham crackers Method Place graham c
