Yep. Separate amenities. And I'll bet that the closet I marked 'linen' is actually a stack washer/dryer.

Very cool. It would have been hard for me to not at least say hello to Marty. He's a true legend.
It was hard not to go up and say hello, but I didn't want to intrude on his space. He had a nice big glass of red wine in front of him and looked like he was trying to relax after a long day.

We also enjoyed the festival. Food selections were good (except for one we didn't like at E=AT(2) that had a runny egg on it), crowds were not too bad, and the exhibits were interesting. We were there on Sunday the 12th, and ended up going back the next afternoon to hit the food booths for lunch. The Herb Ryman/Mary Blair exhibit was particularly interesting. There was a food photography/staging session going on in the Odyssey when we walked through that looked kind of cool.
They had a new paint-by-numbers painting up on Sunday, so TCD must have wrapped the other one up.
Interesting side note - The imagineer Marty Sklar was there on Sunday and Monday giving a talk on imagineering and EPCOT, but we never made it over to see him. I would have liked to but Sunday it was a hard ticket and Monday the timing didn't work out. We had dinner reservations at the California Grill on Monday and as we went to check in, there was Marty. He went upstairs, sat and had dinner at the bar while we were there. I didn't want to bother him and say hello, and I don't think anyone other than the staff knew who he was.
TCD I liked the Neapolitan beer trio, thought it was kind of clever. And tasty.

We had a great chat with a CM at Trader Sam's outdoor terrace last week about the monorail crawl, he basically said that it was kind of ridiculous as you could do it on your own, but people were paying for it and it was pretty popular.

I took a photo from one of the boats when we went by those cabins. I don't mind the ones facing discovery island/bay lake, but those cabins facing the contemporary and water bridge area really don't blend into the landscape at all and are way too close to the shoreline, IMHO.

The bison burger I had was not dry at all.

Bison is very tough to cook properly. Especially burgers; like turkey burgers they are very lean and will overcook very quickly. Most restaurants at WDW serve their burgers well done or medium-well at best, so I'm sure they will get used to the timing as the restaurant is open longer.

Our friends stayed at WL last week and we met them at Artist Point for dinner Thursday night (amazing as usual). We met them for drinks at Geyser Point, and I have to say Disney did a great job with the place. Staff was great, appetizers and drinks were great, and the atmosphere in the evening was wonderful.
Our friends did say that the breakfast, while the food was great, was a bit of a cluster. The hotel didn't do a great job of notifying people of the Roaring Forks closure so there was a lot of confusion early in the week, and it seemed the staff was unfamiliar with the flow of the new restaurant for a few days. They did say it was getting better as the week progressed.
We're staying there in late April for a few days so i will definitely report back.

Lovely place, but we sat in the lounge for a solid 20 minutes without being served. Plenty of waitstaff. We left.

We're checking out tomorrow, if the womenz want some extra beer and snacks someone message me the site number and we will drop it off tonight or in the am.

Just a warning, it's Brazilian tour group season here. And it's in full swing.

And, oh yeah, still no new night time parade.

We are there next week until Friday. Fingers crossed for a soft opening

Bummer. We leave on Friday so we'll just miss it.

Some days I really think I need to get off of social media in its entirety.

I guess i would respectfully disagree that this will increase the chances of running into a bunch of drunks at the MK, although I would honestly have preferred that if they were adding booze at the restaurants that it was for dinner only.

Confession, we did not rent with Kenny this upcoming trip as we won't have a car, although people we are traveling with will, and we didn't want to go through the hassle of trying to coordinate the rental. So, instead of a 6 seater Kenny cart we are renting a 4 seater from the mouse this trip. And practicing my run on sentences.

My understanding is no to-go beverages, only served while dining. Big difference there.

I was totally joking, but in case it happens you heard it here first.

Check in is at 3 pm. We were specifically told (about our cabin, at least) that when we arrived early, so we left our stuff with bell services and went to get some food and to the MK. We did not receive our text notification until after 3 PM.
