  1. Just read an article on the replacement of US workers by Disney.  Disney should be ashamed of themselves for how they treat workers.  I am seriously considering cancelling our Disney trip.  It won't matter much to Disney, but it would make me feel better.  Anyway read the story and share your thoughts.

  2. We love the preferred sites. The 200 loop is our favorite. Make sure you send in a site request form. We have never been in the 300 loop. It is slightly further from the marina. Of course that only matters if you don't have a gc. If by some freak chance they give you site 110. Request a different site as this was the only site we have ever hated being in.

  3. :rofl2:

Living in the land where they'll plunk a roundabout just 'cause "this new plaza in on a hill and and need to slow people down so maybe they'll stop here" this is particularly funny to imagine.

have you been through the two new ones in pelham center? Thought I'd be funny & go around few times. They are so small Trevor got dizzy & almost lost his lunch.
  4. Mostly depends on how big a difference you'll have in gas mileage and speed.  Both vary quite a bit for us from car travel to towing.

Our trip is about 1400 miles.

I can do it in just under 20 hours driving a car, including gas/pit stops only (no naps).  It's roughly 24-25 hours of driving when towing. That includes our speed (nearly all highway) going down considerably from 70-75-ish to more like 55-60, and roughly the same amount of stops for gas - although they take longer as the truck has a much bigger gas tank (pretty much double) and also *everybody* makes a pit stop... including the 3 dogs.  B)

holy crap!! 24hrs from up here while towing. Best we have done from here is 34 hours. Mainly because the kids need to stop constantly. Want to trade the 3 kids for the 3 dogs when we head down for halloween? :P
  5. We currently have a Jayco X23B hybrid. Well I upgraded our TV & its time to move up in size. Anyone here have thoughts on these three mmanufacturers/models? Jayco 23MBH, Forest River 2504s (wifes fav), & Heartland North Trail 24BHS (my fav). Our Jayco has been awesome so I'm afraid to swith mfg. We had a 2009 Forest River Roo 19 that was a nightmare. But that was 6 years ago. Heartland I have no experience with. What do my fellow fiends think?

  6. If there is a single day when you should make a point of being at the Fort, it's Halloween. It really is a lot of fun, especially if other Fiends are there. Of course, I'm usually there too, but don't let that deter you.

I couldn't agree with you more Lou.  Halloween day at the fort is the best.
