Those old pics are awesome! I hope your mom digs the rest of them out for you!
I bet Z enjoys those too!
-
How did your DD like Space?
Absolutely loved it!
-
You forgot to post a photo of your Buzz score.
You ought to be pretty good with a gun, right?
TCD
My scores are usually fairly decent but I never seem to find the big $$ spots. Usually.

I promised you a baseball movie icon and that is coming up.
Picking up where we left off:
And now without further ado........here is Jobu!
Indiana Jones' bull whip:
More displays:
We will head to the museum's batting cages next.....

Yes, that was quite an era of baseball. Babe Ruth passed away a year before I was born. I wish I could have seen him play.
Baseball then was quite different than it is today. IMHO a lot more fun. Just raw ability without science interfering.
I so wish I had collected baseball cards! I'd be rich today.
Dad was a Yankees fan and Mom was a Dodgers fan, so of course I was a Yankees fan too.
BTW, I did get to see Sammy Sosa play several years ago in Chicago. That was my last live baseball game.
I collected baseball cards. Most of my good stuff was stolen in a home invasion while we were camping out of town near Washington DC when I was a kid.
You were really close to us! Only 2 hrs south of us in Indiana.......My husband works in Louisville (yes Lul,vulle) pretty much 3 times a week!
Have you ever been to the museum/factory tour? We noticed their was an air show over the river while we were there also. I wish we could have stayed and watched that. We did see a few groups of old planes flying around and doing loops and such. pretty cool stuff.
Jason might drive to Kentucky for that kind of GG.
He would have to cook lots of stuff on the BGE. I mean.....I would hope.
Topps and Star Wars. Who would have known.
I did. I collected Star Wars cards back then also.
Looks like a fun time! We love Baseball :)
You would like this place Carol.

Next was DD's first ever trip on Space Mountain!
We met back up with DW and DS who rode Buzz Lightyear again while DD and I rode Space.
We headed for the exits after those rides and waited for our boat ride back to the Fort:
We went back to the Fort to sleep, but not before the kids once again watched the Duff-meister on resort TV.
We will be heading back to the MK in the morning with an unscheduled stop beforehand.

This was an exciting moment. We were about to use a FP+ for our first ever trip on the mine train. This was a ride 3 years (or more) in the making.
This was going to be epic!
Okay. So here is my take.
The ride is good. The scenes, especially inside the mine are very good. The "innovative" ride vehicle on the other hand? I didn't get it. It's like they did something purposeful to keep them from swinging back and forth after they made a huge deal about the fact that they would swing back and forth.
BTMRR is a much better ride. Don't get me wrong, SDMT does not SMB; like Ariel. But, three freaking years to build that? That is just re-donk-ulous. I mean WTF. No way that ride should have taken that long to build.
My final thoughts on SDMT are that the novelty will wear off in a couple years and the lines will then be in line with the other thrill rides in the park or maybe even shorter wait times than those. We'll have to wait to see if I'm right.
After the Ariel ride opened, I did say that the ride would have almost zero wait after the novelty wore off......and on that, I was right. May you all bask in the glow of my rightness. LOL
Moving on to a DS must do:
Next up was Teacups:
And then we meandered over to Maurice's cottage:
Look who was picked to be a guard again......out of all of our visits to ETWB, I have only been passed over for guard duty once.
And look who was picked to be the beast again.......DS!
DD took a part also:
Me on duty:
DS scaring Belle:
The End
Continued in next post........

Let's continue on our boat ride to the Magic Kingdom:
We arrived to find this wall in front of the train station:
The street party was in full effect. VAMOS!
And now I was taking over the wall pics to update you all in real time on the hub construction project:
And now for our first MK attraction of this trip:
Buzz must have been meeting people outside:
Our first mine train trip ever is on tap next........

Caught up :)
So glad to hear that her leg did well... Praise God, Praise God, Praise God for His hand of protection and mercy over her.
Epcot... man, we just don't spend enough time there! Voices of Liberty, do they perform often? I would love to hear them in person. American Adventure? Yeah...did not even know that was there. I am embarrassed to admit that. Truly... often times we don't even go to Epcot and when we do, it's usually only for a few hours. We'll definitely have to make the effort to see that attraction on our next trip.
Never get tired of pictures of the Fort. I take a deep breath and relax, just by looking at the pictures!
No freeloaders.... yay!!!
The tetherball... yeah on our trips I would say that a probably 60% of the time, the ball is not on either pole. What is that?? Oh... and that particular picture, loved the shot of the beach. Big deep breath for that one :)
Definitely see VOL and AA. They perform several times per day. Just check out the times guide when you get there.
That is really sad.
I mean, what good is a pole without balls?
Right?
I'm ignoring Dave.
Aaron, great sunset shots on the beach and pier!
Thanks Gwen. I love sunset and sunrise at the marina.
When we were there last fall, there was a ball on the tether pole in the 1500 loop and at the beach. I remember my kids playing tether ball at both locations. I loved that they could play tether ball while waiting for MNSSHP fireworks. Sure beats sitting on a curb!
I remember playing tetherball and basketball on the 900 loop all day long as a kid. We play on the beach sometimes now, but during our trip, there was never a ball on that pole and it seemed the one on the other side was always being used when we passed by.
What Gwen said X2. :)
What?
Your son is such a ham. I love the faces he is making on your trip over to the MK.
Seeing your Fort pictures is getting me even more excited about being there next week.
I am glad you are enjoying DS and the Fort pics. He is a ham for sure.
I'm in tears over here...
I don't get it.......

More Saban whining:
I dont see Harbaugh whining about Saban oversigning players that he has no scholarship availability for......which leads to greyshirts and cuts. As a parent, I would strongly discourage my kids from going to programs that regularly back out of scholarship conmittments. A scholarship should be for 4 years minimum......unless an independent physician states a player is not medically capable to play.....and then the scholarship should be transferred to a regular scholarship. When that happens, the medical help, training table, study halls, tutors, etc should still be available as well. After all, that is what was promised (probably amongst a zillion other things) to get the athlete to commit in the first place. Les Miles oversigns in a big way too.....and he is a former Michigan coach. That is one major reason why I would not want him to cone back.

DD's soccer team had two scrimmages over the past week.
Her team lost 3-1 last week and she scored her team's only goal.
Her team won 2-1 last night and she scored both goals.
-
The DL pics are great.
Hopefully you all will get to do even more once Rick's knee gets fixed.
Safe travels!

The skirt/shirt is no worse than the guy getting pit stains all over the American flag in the background. Whoever came up with the idea to use the American flag as a wife-beater should be returned to sender.
-
Very nice! I bet they had a lot of fun.
-
-
That looks enticing.
-
I had forgotten about Saban and Bielema's whining about hurry up offenses being too tough on their athletes. Wah.
-
Saban?
Or Urban if that wasn't right.
Ok, going back to read now.
-
Let's had back into the museum shall we?
Here is the fam inside the museum dugout:
Info on the center brand that has been stamped or literally branded on the bats through the years:
DS with the Great Bambino, The Colossus of Clout, The King of Crash...........

Now with Kalamazoo, Michigan native, Derek Jeter:
And the Splendid Splinter:
Now we move to an exhibit by Topps Trading Card Company:
An absolute icon of baseball movies is coming up in the next update. Any ideas who it is?

WOW almost top 20 . Mr. Robinson was signed by Branch Rickey . an Ohio Wesleyan University legend . Delaware Ohio 10 miles from our home .
NTM
I did a report on Jackie Robinson and Branch Rickey during HS. That was awhile ago.
I'm not a baseball fan at all, but I do appreciate history. Looks like a cool place!
It is cool. I think you would like the factory tour and such even without being a baseball fan.
I need to go to that museum! I grew up in the Mickey Mantle/Roger Maris era and was a huge baseball fan back then.
You should go Gwen. If you have never been to Cooperstown, NY that is even more of a must see. You are lucky you got to see that era of baseball.
I've heard of the movie but hey - I actually know someone that lives in Elizabethtown. Go figure!
The museum looks interesting and fun.
Ask them if they have ever missed 60B.
A reference to have had one, two or three too many.
Wow. I was a little slow on the uptake.
I've been seriously trying to get a Fiend GG in Ky, including bourbon trail tours, booked for a while. We need to do that....but only if Aaron can come.
I would totally go for something like that. Finding the right time with all the sports, school, etc is the tough part.
Im late but I'm in. One day I hope to make it out there.
You would enjoy it I think.
I'd be up for that and a chance to meet some of y'all in person.
DIT is always full of good ideas.

The squirrels in Epcot are serious about their food.
Alice was my favorite as a kid. I have a great memory of her spending a TON of time with me in the MK when I came dressed as Alice. Fun times. I need to make an effort to see her again.
Love that MP made your son join in!
Great Fort pictures. No swimming! What was the temperature?
I remember it being in low 60s for highs.
Pics or it didn't happen.

We left off roaming around the Meadows area, and I promised you an endangered species.
Well, I always deliver on my promises so here you go:
Those were genuine, certified shuffleboard players off in the distance. I have not seen a shuffleboard court used at the Fort or anywhere else since I was a wee laddie.
I took this picture for TCD:
Then we went to the Settlement TP to check on the torn canvas....and saw the wagon was still back there. You can see it peeking out above the carts:
We know from TCD's latest reports that it still sits back there, rotting away.
Moving on:
Uh, oh.
You see that white gate? We did too. We were going back to see RC. A friendly CM saw us there and came over and asked if we were wanting to go back and see RC. I said that is exactly what we wanted to do. He said the white gates would be up for several days while they re-roofed the BBQ Pavilion. He said we were welcome to resume our exploration back in that area once the project was complete. We said we would try back later in our stay. We thanked him and went on our way.
If you look closely, you can see the roof work:
While turning around, I saw a drooping sign on the beach and went to investigate:
I rolled it back up to find only this:
Continuing:
One more pic before we head back to our site:
We had hotdogs at the site and then headed for the MK.....

Aaron how did her leg do with all the walking?
She did great. I didn't notice her getting more tired than any other trip. There were a couple times she complained of soreness and mommy or daddy gave her piggy back rides, but that may have happened anyway.
That brings me to something else.
We did not bring a stroller on this trip.
We figured we would get a rental if she started to complain, but she never did. It was nice not having to push a stroller around. We had a normal sized backpack with a small cooler bag inside from "31". It worked out great.
In a few short years your DS will be loving it when all the young ladies are telling him how beautiful his eyes are.
I think you should record DD singing his song.
DD is game. I will see what I can do.
:rofl2:
Aw... poor fella.
:EvilPlan:
Alice and Poppins meet n greet rocked. They always do a great job.
Two and you didn't get the "beautiful eyes" on video. That would have been great to show his future girlfriends.
It's so first to see your DD with out a cast. I'm still waiting to see her playing soccer. Lol.
I will see what I can do with some video when her games start back up.

I believe I have now officially seen the the sorceror mickey topiary and brooms at:
Downtown Disney
DHS
Animal Kingdom
Epcot--not in person but in your TR
that one must be in heavy rotation.
I think it was located outside the AK gates when we were there in Jan/Feb

And selfies without a stick. Weird.
The ride pics are all in the Memory Maker Picture Youtube Video I posted awhile ago. With so many pics to post already, I figured I would leave the memory maker pics in the video and do this TR with just my iPhone pics.
Thanks Mo. You know what they say about the sun and the dog's arse.
Thanks Becks.
I knew when I teed it up that you would knock it out of the park.
Thanks Gwen........and don't even try to compete with my professional iPhone picture taking eye.....LOL.
